Explanation of Massage

Massage is customarily defined as manual (by hand) manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for therapeutic purposes, using strokes that include gliding, kneading, pressing, tapping, and/or vibrating. Many different techniques have been developed by manual therapists over the years. Deep Tissue, Swedish and other types of massage are well known.

For years, we offered various forms of massage in our office. However, changes in insurance laws in Florida resulted in us eliminating massage on site.

The GOOD news is, we have maintained a list of several massage therapy facilities and individual practitioners about whom we have received great feedback.

That list contains facilities for our patients to visit, and also has a referral for a therapist who provides massage therapy in the comfort of clients' homes - at a very reasonable fee.

We are happy to share that referral list with our patients.
