Your First Visit

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with the doctors to discuss your health-related concerns and goals. This initial visit is designed for the doctors to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how our treatment can meet your goals.

Examination

After your consultation, the doctors will perform a complete neurological examination testing your reflexes, gait, dual tasking, flexibility and nervous system. The doctors will also perform other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests as needed.

More in-depth Studies

Depending on your specific condition, we may refer you to a laboratory and/or radiologist. Laboratory tests, x-rays or MRI's help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious conditions.

Report of Findings

The Report of Findings is presented at your second visit. Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, the doctors will put together and present a detailed report of all findings. He and our staff will answer any questions including:

1. How can you help me?
2. How often do I need to come in?
3. What will my treatment cost?

After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your clinical results, Dr. Harcourt will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Harcourt is committed to providing the best treatment for your needs, even if it is not something he can personally treat.

Treatment

At the conclusion of the Report of Findings at the second appointment, you can choose to experience your first treatment. (Treatment is sometimes rendered at the first visit, on a case-by-case basis. For example, if you are in pain.) Treatment may include physical therapy, neurological therapies, spinal adjustments, neuro-opthamology, and/or soft tissue work.
