1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was pretty much scared that I was going to have a heart attack – NO LONGER :). I had aches and pains in my chest and weight gain. I didn’t eat properly, so I was physically sick and mentally as well! Uneducated in nutrition; lack of energy.

2. How is it now?
Feel so much better – more energy. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! No more pains in chest. Weight loss:). Love eating properly. Makes total sense – nutritionally whole foods are the answer to our American diets. NEED TO GET BACK TO BASICS. WILL GIVE THIS INFO TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ASHLEY AND THE LADIES WHO WORK HERE!!

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I would say I felt half dead – don’t know how I for through any day. Mostly in the fog. Pain everywhere, every day. Sleeplessness almost always. Irritated by foods, never felt good. Always tired, moody. No sex drive. Just thought about sleep all of the time.

2. How is it now?
Amazing. After two weeks on the program I noticed sleep every night and fell asleep right away. Pain started leaving my body fairly quickly. I have way more energy; even if I don’t get a full night sleep I still have energy for the day. My thought process has improved so much! I can think and not forget things I’m told. I eat better therefore I don’t have any stomach issues. I’m so thankful and grateful to Ashley for her help, knowledge, and concern for each individual. Praise God for knowledge!!

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Broken, cracked fingernails, excess fat around stomach and hips. I exercise regularly, but needed to change my eating habits. Also would like to get off, or at least have the dose lowered of my cholesterol and blood pressure medicine.

2. How is it now?
My fingernails have improved, I have lost some of the belly fat (still have some work to do.) I go to my annual checkup in Feb. So will know better then how my cholesterol is doing.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?

My most common symptoms were daily headaches, persistent borderline iron-anemia, and an overall tired, sluggish feeling. But the biggest reason I started coming to Advanced Health was because I had experienced multiple miscarriages - 7 altogether - and my husband and I wanted to have one more baby. We wanted (needed!) to get to the root of the problem that was causing all of our pregnancy losses.

2. How is it now?

The diet changes that I had to make were quite a challenge. It took a while to adapt to the restrictions, but once I was able to follow it w/out slipping up, I started feeling better very quickly. My headaches were gone, my energy was up and I was able to keep up with my three kids again. But the best part was that I was able to get pregnant and stay pregnant! The icing on the cake was that I had a fabulously easy pregnancy - very little morning sickness (new for me!), great energy level, very few aches and pains. Some of that might be luck or genetics, but I truly believe that a lot of that was due to my improved diet and supplements and the consultation I received through Advanced Health. I had a wonderful, uncomplicated homebirth and now have a very happy, healthy baby boy. We’re in our ninth month of nursing and I still feel great.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Constantly sluggish, couldn’t concentrate, winded and heart racing after mild exertion: standing up, going up stairs. Craved bread, pasta, etc. all the time- also sugar! Backed out almost every time I’d stand up, or get a rushing, dizzy feeling in my head and distorted vision. BM’s alternated between diarrhea and constipation.

2. How is it now?
More mental and physical clarity, can keep going at a constant pace all day, taking much fewer breaks. Better stamina. I don’t black out anymore when I stand up. Do Not crave pasta, bread, or sugar anymore (sugar less so- still want a sweet flavor sometimes. Regular BM’s.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was sick most of the time. Had difficulty walking and exercising. Had migraines, constant sore throat, colds, and sinus infections. I could not even golf 3 to 4 holes without feeling like I would faint. I was weak, very shaky, and had so much pain. Sleeping at night was a constant challenge as I was in so much pain and sick. I had numerous allergies and rashes. My health was so poor that I did not know what else to try.

2. How is it now?
After about a year of treatment and following Dr. Allen’s advice, I feel like a new person. I can golf 9-18 holes and walk miles each day. I am so grateful to Dr. Allen and everyone at Advanced Health. It was a real learning experience to finally know why various conditions were reoccurring and why I was having as many problems. The classes offered are beneficial and I appreciate Dr. Allen’s concern in answering my numerous continuous questions. Both Dr. Allen and Dr. Bergman have been extremely helpful and life-savers.

Bonnie Butzer

I took my two –year old daughter to Advanced Health when I found out they could do NRT on kids of any age. She was having sleep problems and was constipated (couldn’t go for days, was extremely difficult and painful, nothing worked to get her moving), despite her good diet. After seeing a pediatrician, the only recommendation I could get was to put her on a laxative and hope the condition improved with time.

Eight months later, I’m elated to report that her sleep is much improved and she hasn’t had a “pooping” problem since we addressed the mercury in her system. In fact, I was expecting the healing process to take a long time. But, within days of the beginning of the mercury removal, she started improving and within three weeks, she was completely regular! It was a little miracle that also brought about improved eating, sleeping, and behavior! Never would I have thought that the mercury I passed on through the womb would have caused such an issue.

I’m so thankful that my daughter had a “symptom” that prompted the treatment of the real, underlying issue. We were able to fix her before things grew more complicated. I highly encourage all parents to help their children be as healthy as they were meant to be! Issues of any kind, including behavioral, always have a root cause. Don’t treat the symptom…fix the problem!

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Every day and night acid reflux, heart burn, high blood pressure and on medication. Excess belly fat and love handles, could not walk without getting short of breath, lack of energy and back pain.

2. How is it now?
Great!! I can run a mile, no acid reflux at all. No more high blood pressure (off of medication) and a lot more energy. I feel you have expanded my life on earth as we know it. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! :)

Gary Coleman

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was TIRED! TIRED! TIRED! TIRED! I was overweight due to eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. I was especially overloaded with sugar. My blood pressure was high and on medication to lower it. I had no energy to enjoy life.

2. How is it now?
My weight is down, my blood pressure is down. I no longer take medication. My energy level is up. I’m sleeping better. I no longer feel like sleeping after lunch, (which is good because I’m usually at work at that time.) Through all the staff at Advanced Health, I’ve learned a lot about what to and what not to put into my body. You’ve done the research and passed it on to me and I know that following your advice I will be healthier!

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was on two medicines for high blood pressure, feeling bloated and puffy all the time, my weight was too much and had reached its highest point in my life; didn’t feel like doing a lot of things because of being tired. Loved carbs, couldn’t give them up in the past.

2. How is it now?
I am only taking the Standard Process supplements and I am off of all of my medications. My blood pressure is now normal and most of the time, better than normal. I don’t feel bloated, I have lost over 20 pounds so far and I am my old clothes that I grew out of in the past few years. I have learned to eat differently and have given up on most of the bad carbs and gluten and white sugar. I use Trivea and rice flour products instead.

Sharon M. Copiskey

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
At the same time I started I was having symptoms of increased BP, heart rate, sweaty, and a “sense of choking.” My symptoms were consistent with thyroid dysfunction. My Medical blood tests were normal. At Advanced Health Care they treated me with supplements to support my thyroid in conjunction with dietary changes.

2. How is it now?
My symptoms have significantly improved with supplements and dietary changes. The dietary changes are vital to the success of the program. We truly are “what we eat.” It’s encouraging when we see progress at the “heart rate sessions.” Thanks for your patience (with my not so compliant diet) and for sharing food/menu ideas.

Trisha Dalbee (SP)

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Before I came to Advanced Health, I was tired, my joints were sore and I couldn’t eat any of the foods that I loved. It was tough because I was in and out of the hospital and I have 2 children so there was some stuff that I missed for them.

2. How is it now?
Now after working with Ashley, I feel GREAT! I’m not tired anymore and my joints are getting better. The best thing is I can eat vegetables again. I know that may seem like a small gain, but I was not able to eat any fruit or vegetables for the last couple of years. Not only that, I have found healthier choices for the foods that I eat which my kids have picked up on and now they too make healthier choices.

Erica U.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was tired, had very dry skin, and did not eat healthy. I was very over weight.

2. How is it now?
I am not tired anymore, I have energy, my skin isn’t as dry, I’m eating better, and losing weight.

Tiffany Frisque

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Mental fogginess, constant anxiety, muscle rigidity, mood issues, fatigue, blurry vision, heavy metals and immune challenges. I had been to 3 different doctors and they wanted to put me on Prednisone. Knowing corticoid steroids have many side effects, I declined. My mind was so foggy, I don’t know how I ended up coming to Educating Wellness, but I thank God for them.

2. How is it now?
Blurry vision and mental fatigue have improved. Anxiety has improved. Muscle pain improved. Continues to heal and work on issues. I feel much better and in more in control of my future and health. If I continue in the direction Educating Wellness has pointed me in, I look forward to full health. The supplements and herbs Ashley has suggested for me have also made a huge difference.

Melba G.

2. How is now?
Very much improved and on the right track. I feel like I am improving steadily.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?

Frequent GERD, high blood pressure to borderline high, hands always broken out, weight high and rising. I thought I ate pretty well.

2. How is it now?

Only had GERD once in last three months. Blood pressure is down, hands better, weight dropping slow but steady.

Now I eat no wheat, rice, potatoes, and rarely eat ice cream or sweets. I drink only coconut milk, no cows milk. I eat salads, good protein, organic vegetables. I feel way better and recommend Advanced Health to everyone.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Joint pain and swelling Fatigue very tired, Ostteoarthritis, a lot of leg pain very hard to stand in one place. Very hard to climb up on machinery to work on. Kneeling and then get up is very hard.

2. How is it now?
There are improvements it just seems slow, but after 15 to 20 years of joint and lower back pain I believe it will take time to come around. Mentally I am feeling better. I truly wish that in the future adjustment to the body can also be made with the Nutrition Response testing. I do find that it’s working and have referred two others to please try it. All of the stuff is very helpful and very pleasant. I hope they are rewarded greatly. Thank you.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Holding on by a thread! Low energy and drive. Fought to hold on to a positive attitude. Functioning throughout the day on “fumes.” Skin becoming increasingly wrinkled and lacking glow. Mind having “fog” moments.

2. How is it now?
Hope is restored! Energy and drive now back to my 30’s, (I’m 64.) Functioning well throughout the day. Fantastic attitude. Keeping up with the grandchildren, and surpassing them! Skin is becoming elastic once again and healthy. I have not “arrived”… But I have most certainty left. I look forward to more health victories in the coming months. Thank you Advanced Health for bringing more knowledge and skill and caring hearts to the North Woods :)

I was a train wreck. I experienced muscle pain, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, overweight and moody. I was taking 5-6 medications.

2. How is it now?
I feel good; I wake up and don’t hurt. I have energy because I am eating better, amazed on the different food that is out there, and is very good.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Prior to enrolling in the Nutritional Response Testing program with Dr. Jerod Bergman, I had week kidneys and had extreme soreness in my upper arms. I was taking a prescription medication (Prednisone) and Ibuprofen (800-1200 mg.) daily for the pain. I was also taking some over the counter vitamins (C and E) on a daily basis.

2. How is it now?
I am very pleased with the results of the NRT program and would highly recommend it to anyone. Dr. Bergman educated me as far as what foods were good for my body. I am no longer on any prescription medications, nor am I taking Vitamin C or Vitamin E. My kidneys are good and the soreness in my upper arms is very minimal. I also lost several pounds and am happier with my weight. Dr. Jerod Bergman, Dr. Ida Allen, and all of their staff were very professional, kind, and caring. They were a joy to work with.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I had been diagnosed with numerous medical issues, for which I was taking prescriptions for. These issues included the following: (1) I had been dealing with migraine headaches (two to three a week) for over forty years. (2) I had high cholesterol for over five years. (3) I had hypothyroidism for over one year. Other medical issues which I had for many years were hypoglycemia and stiffness in body upon waking.

2. How is it now?
After going through the NRT and being educated by Dr. Ida Allen about proper nutrition, I am happy to announce the following results: (1) I am no longer on ANU prescriptions. (2) I have not had one single migraine headache since I started the nutrition program. (3) My cholesterol numbers (both good and bad) are where they should be. (4) My thyroid is working properly. (5) I no longer experience hypoglycemia symptoms or body stiffness upon waking. I am no longer taking any OTC vitamins; instead, I am taking the dietary supplements recommended by Dr. Ida Allen to maintain my current state of good health.

Dear Dr. Bergman,
I wanted to take a moment to let you know of the life-changing miracles Nutrition Response Testing has had in my life and my daughter’s life.
My daughter, Kyra, was diagnosed with Autism at eh age of three. At this age, she was talking gibberish and recognizable words interspersed throughout, she rocked, head-banged, did not give eye contact, had violent meltdowns daily, walked on her toes, the list goes on. She was in a special classroom for Autistics which had 4-6 kids total, 4 aids and one teacher.
Though it is my belief that a large number of children are developing Autism through vaccinations, my daughter was not vaccinated.
Prior to becoming pregnant with her, I had all my silver fillings replaced with composite fillings. The dentist did not use a rubber dam to catch the fillings as he replaced them and as a result, I ingested a lot of the material. Date-coincident, my health deteriorated rapidly and I ended up in the hospital a year and a half later with one of the worst cases of Ulcerative Colitis the doctors had ever seen.
As I was trying to regain my health, I ended up pregnant with her. So, as a fetus she grew in a very toxic environment; my body. It is only as I regained my health and she regained hers, and as I learned more and more about the body did I put two and two together and figure out what happened to her and me.
I stumbled upon Nutrition Response Testing about 4 years ago. I learned that this was a non-invasive system that analyzed the body to determine the underlying causes of ill or non-optimum health. I further learned that a normal, healthy body naturally heals from most types of conditions; whether illness or injury and that if a person has a health condition that is not healing, there must be a barrier to healing that had to be identified. With the body supported, it was able to overcome that barrier to healing.
From the moment I started a program designed specifically for me, I immediately felt better! I never had another bout of Colitis (which is very, very painful.)
I started my daughter on a program as well and watched her change radically. I followed the recommendation to a “T” which I believed was key to her rapid improvement. She started giving more and more eye contact, her communication improved tremendously, she stopped rocking and head-banging, I rarely catch her walking on her toes and the biggest change of all: NO MORE VIOLENT MELTDOWNS! She is loving and full of life. Though she is still on an IEP (Individualized Education Program) with the school system, she went from an AUT (Autism) code to an OHI (Other Health Impaired) code. She has been mainstreamed and had not been in a specialized classroom for 4 year now.
When UI was growing up, I had always heard “You are what you eat.” This statement is as true now as it was then. I firmly believe this and I have experienced the miracles that can happen when one improves their diet and takes the right supplement for their body. I believe one’s health CAN and DOES improve, no matter who they are or what they have going on with their body. It’s simple, affordable and worth investing time in. :)

Thank you!

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I began my visits with Dr. Ida in January of ’09 at a last resort, primarily because my 2 daughter-in-laws had experienced health benefits going through the Nutrition Response program. My main problem was long standing asthma and chronic sinus trouble. The asthma was treated with inhalers and surgery was recommended for the sinus restriction. I was concerned I was just dealing with the symptoms and not touching what might be the cause. I had other conditions I assumed came with age like fitful sleep, aches and pains, and fatigue. My introductory testing put me in the chronically ill areas of the chart and detected high levels of mercury.

2. How is it now?
I went through the 12 week program once with significant improvement but needed to repeat it. I am still on the second stage almost one year later. Midway, I also began the Chiropractic program to work with the NRT. I can report that the asthma I had suffered with for many years was cleared up as of November. My sinus passages are opening and I can smell once again. Other benefits have been restful sleep, increased lung capacity and endurance and weight loss. I consider this program an answer to my prayer and I am grateful to Dr. Ida for her very real concern and care.

Becca Pierre

I began my journey of setting a goal of good health and dietary wellness long ago. Over the years, I worked in the medical field, nursing, and studied the importance of good nutritional health (including environmental health) all very seriously.

Most of the health programs out there do offer some good suggestions, but at the same time leave a lot to be desired. Recommendations for losing weight include, doing daily colon enemas, consuming little or no meat or fat in diet, using artificial sweeteners (Splenda, Nutrasweet, etc.) in place of natural and safe sweeteners, imitation foods, (synthetic) vitamins, and supplements, and the like.

In recent years, we lost two of our adult children to cancer and diabetes. I myself, am a cancer survivor, and I count each day of my life as a special blessing from God.

I have tried to make the best food choices, even using organic foods whenever possible, and very religiously included my yogurt, cottage cheese, low-fat foods, whole grain foods, and all those good things on should eat regularly, in addition to taking my vitamins and supplements.

Even with all those “good things” going on in my life, I did not always feel my best. My immune system was low at times, and I had some other health issues to deal with besides.

My husband Leo, and I, attended several meetings at the YMCA during the winter months, that Dr. Jerod Bergman and R. Ida Allen conducted, and we have also read up on Dr. Ida’s health articles published in the local paper. Everything that they discussed at the meeting made good sense, and worthwhile looking further into.

I decided to sign up for the Nutritional Program being offered. In all honesty, it has been on of the best health choices I have ever made. What really impressed me is that each person is tested individually for any health issues, and no two persons are likely to have the same problems, or will receive the same health care. The program itself is easy to follow.

Over the years, I gradually had a build-up of toxins and heavy metals affecting my health, along with food sensitivities to (even healthy types of foods.) Now that I am on track, I know what foods I can (or cannot handle well,) and how I feel as a result.

My overall health has improved very much within a short time. My energy level has come back even to where I can function all day without having to take a break. My arthritic problems are low now, I feel more mentally alert, have lost some weight, seldom have headaches or sore joints like I did before, and just feel more in tuned to everything around me. I have an active lifestyle and keep busy, besides taking care of 6 of our grandchildren on a daily basis. “I still have to finish growing up with my grandkids yet!”

Louse M. Pintens

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was overweight, fatigued and on thyroid medication.

2. How is it now?
I am losing weight, off my thyroid medication and most importantly, I have learned and continue to learn how to eat properly. Society is dependent on fast foods, medications and thrives on promoting and selling so many products that are so unhealthy for us. Our society is so consumed with medicines. If everyone only knew they are the cause for not being healthy. I am so grateful for going through this program. Thanks so much to those that practice this lifestyle and help us to get healthy.

Deb P.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
My health seemed to be in a downward spiral. My regular physician, at the time, was very sympathetic but could only off me different drugs hoping to alleviate my symptoms. Dr. Allen has dramatically improved the quality of my life.

2. How is it now?
Before Dr. Allen, I lived from day to day trying to just cope with my sinus and asthma condition. Now I actually am back to enjoying life. I can enthusiastically plan vacation, family gatherings, crafts, all of the things I really enjoyed doing.

Susan Pusa

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Before coming into the office I was on meds for hypothyroidism and they kept increasing the amount. My body always hurt and things just didn’t feel right. I was gaining weight and unable to lose it with even trying a variety of programs.

2. How is it now?
Now I am off of my synthetic meds and my thyroid has improved. I am losing weight consistently and feel great. I look at eating much differently and cleaner.

Jennifer Rozell

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
A bit frustrating- I’ve tried to change my lifestyle to improve my overall health but I was missing something or some things. I felt a bit sluggish, even though I worked out and ate what I thoughts was fairly healthy. I’ve had some muscle/joint pain and was concerned I was not getting adequate nutrition/vitamins.

2. How is it now?
Much improved, but I still have progress to make. My joint pain is much better and almost non-existent. I have not lost the weight I hoped to in the time I’ve been on the program, but we’ve discovered a lot of the obstacles that were in my way. I feel good about how much better I feel though and look forward to continuing in the right direction.

Jenny Rudis

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I felt fat, bloated, had, indigestion, heartburn, hurt all over, my back specifically hurt, and I didn’t sleep. I got tired easily and had to actually stop what I was doing for the rest of the day. It took great will-power to function on a daily basis. I could hike, but it was sheer will-power that allowed me to do it, and several days to recover. Riding in the car or flying was miserable, as I couldn’t sit. I had restless leg syndrome, and suffered from leg cramps. My skin hurt to the touch and my gums bled easily and my bowels varied from soft to hard to none. I had constant post-nasal drip and had a hard time breathing and chocked a lot. I always felt sad, because I felt so bad physically and had to use such effort to function.

2. How is it now?
I feel great. My back has improved greatly and doesn’t hurt constantly. My sleep, while not perfect has improved very much. Someone can touch my skin, without me jumping. I don’t have heartburn or indigestion. I have much more energy and can make it through the day. I don’t constantly hurt all over. I have lost 20 pounds in a few weeks, and I don’t crave foods. I eat a lot less than I did. I haven’t had restless legs and can make a car trip with much less pain. My bowels are normal and my gums rarely bleed and feel much better. My nose is clear and I can breath easier and seldom choke. I am much happier and many times don’t even think about how I feel, because it isn’t the mail thing that overtakes my brain.

Ruth Ann Wohlers

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Before I came in to Advanced Health I had constipation and bloating problems, low body temp, fatigue, and esophageal spasms. Part of the problem seems to be wheat.

2. How is it now?
I have much improvement from just staying away from wheat products, and my constipation and bloating is 95% non-existent. But I still have low body temp and I feel I don’t get solid sleep yet.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Constantly had bloated belly and problems with embarrassing gas. Plus, I had acid reflux all the time. I was miserable.

2. How is it now?
If I stick to my regime (diet) the bloating, gas, and reflux do not occur. When I cheat, I can immediately tell the difference. If I follow Ashley’s advice, I’m good. If I try to sneak food in, I suffer. She really knows what is right for me.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
Coming to see Advanced Health concerning some issues I had about my health was hard. I thought for the longest time that this was normal for me to feel this way. I had knee and joint pain from old injuries which made it hard for me to go up and down stairs. My joints would make a cracking sound and would be very sore for the day. It was also difficult to bend, to exercise, and to just plain go about life while in my early 30s. I seemed to also get a sharp chest pain due to I don't know what. To top it all off, I had a headache just about every day, all day long, and my hair was falling out more than I liked to see. I would cover up the pain and embarrassment because with kids and life I had to keep going. I've been to doctors and explained my aches and pains to them and all they would do is tell me that I need to exercise more, which was painful to do, or to take a prescription or an OTC medication. This was not right!! I heard about a free seminar that talked about losing weight and bettering your health, so I decided to go. What an eye-wakening experience. This is what prompted me to come in. My life couldn't get any worse, only better I thought, and it did!!

2. How is it now?
WOW!!! I never thought I would be able to say that my headaches are now gone, my hair stopped falling out in large amounts, chest pains are gone and my knees and joints are great!! I even got back into exercising and running, and lost 20lbs. I feel wonderful and "living" is now wonderful! Within 2 weeks of being on the program for Nutrition Response Testing, I noticed the difference. Learning about my body, the likes and dislikes was amazing and changing my eating habits was not hard because I needed to take care of ME. Who knew that eating healthy foods, "the right foods", and taking the right supplements could make a difference. I love ME now!!!

I have learned so much by going to Advanced Health that I am a firm believer that taking care of your body naturally and nutritionally will only benefit you in life. You are only given one body so treat it right and take care of it!! Thank you Advanced Health (Ashley Stelter) for doing what doctors couldn't do to fix my problems!! My children are also on the NRT program. By coming here with my children, they are also learning the benefits of eating healthy and that taking care of their body makes a world of difference. This will be the building blocks for their healthy, long life and I am proud that I could give this gift to them. I love the fact that Advanced Health teaches you the importance of good nutrition and that they only have your best interest at heart. This program is awesome and works for any age!! Thanks for bettering our lives!

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I started the program because I had one dry patch on my arm that over a summer ended up all over me from the waist up. I knew it had something to do with food, but just giving up dairy and wheat was not enough. I needed to know more specifically what I was sensitive to. I felt horrible, my skin looked terrible, and I had no idea what else I could be doing. So, I made an appointment with Ashley.

2. How is it now?
After the program, I feel great! My skin issues are gone, I lost weight and body fat, and I learned how to eat healthy. I'm very satisfied with my diet and once it became habit, I had many food choices that were easily accessible. Everyone at Advanced Health is wonderful to help with the questions and problems that I have come across. That you and a special thank you to Ashley for my health back and making me feel great.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I felt "heavy" mentally and physically. Lack of energy. Heave mood swings and poor eating habits. Getting up in the morning was a chore along with anything I had to do that day. Couldn't wait to go to bed in the evening.

2. How is it now?
I can't wait to start my day! I look forward to my daily walks or runs on the treadmill. I plan my day better and do not feel overwhelmed by my surroundings. Cooking is so fun knowing that the food I am using is healthy and delicious. My family seems like a "unit"; whole.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I had heartburn all day. I took two Prilosec tablets up to 10 times a day. I would wake up every other night and have heartburn so bad I would vomit. Many friends and family told me I would need surgery to get any relief.

2. How is it now?
I am free of heartburn. I don't take Prilosec or Tums and I haven't gotten sick for 18 weeks. I feel like a new person.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I had burning and tingling in my arms, hands, legs, and toes; aching in my arms so that I had a hard time sleeping. Also concerned about temporary memory loss episodes.

2. How is it now?
The tingling is much less- mostly a numb sensation. No memory problems.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
When I started, I was very tired every day. I had frequent headaches and joint pains.

2. How is it now?
Since starting the program, my headaches are almost non-existent. I have very few if any joint pain, and if I stay away from the foods I have to, I notice I have more energy. In avoiding sugar as well, I haven't been sick nearly as much/often as I used to be.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I was very fatigued. A good energy day was rare. I had trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I was having migraine headaches about twice a month with less intense headaches almost daily. My feet were painfully cold most of the time. I was very moody and struggled with depression a great deal. My eyes were beginning to weaken- sensitive to bright light; started using "cheaters" for reading and at work. I was having hot flashes and had bad breath, fuzzy thinking, facial nerve twitches, and ringing ears.

2. How is it now?
I started treatments in February 2011. Sometime in March, my headaches were extremely rare, very mild, and short. It's now July, and my energy level is much better. I no longer have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, in fact, I now sleep through thunderstorms. My moods are very much improved and the depression has lifted. My eyesight has improved somewhat and I am not as sensitive to bright light. Hot flashes are gone. My husband reports that my breath is much better. Nerve twitches are almost completely gone. I have greater concentration; less "fuzzy" thinking. My feet started to improved back in March; still cold, but not painfully cold.

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
I generally feel great, so I really came in just to improve my health and eating overall.

2. How is it now?
I feel the same, except I've been extra tired for the past week and a half. I felt great before, so it's not bad to feel the same. I am thrilled about what I've learned about nutrition and the effect of food in our body. The findings at our appointments have amazed me and make complete sense. Our bodies are so affected by what we put in them. I knew that, but it is amazing to have it proved to me week after week!

1. What was it like before you came in to see us?
In pain, fat, sluggish. I weighed 252 lbs. Not happy, heartburn all the time. I feel my age of 45, actually I felt older than 45. I was going to the chiropractor weekly for neck, shoulders, and low back pain.

2. How is it now?
100% happy. I now weigh in at 215.3 lbs! Pain is gone. Feel alive again, no more heartburn ever! I feel younger now. I feel like I did when I was in my 20s!! I go to the chiropractor once a month now.
