Meet Dr. Kadin

FUNCTIONING isn’t the same as LIVING.

Webster Certified Chiropractor Rockville, MD

The body is innately resilient and I use multiple modalities to create an individual plan based on the body’s own wisdom and desire to heal itself to help families THRIVE.

Hi, I’m Dr. Katherine Kadin Ficcarra.  My patients call me Dr. Kat and I want to share a bit about my own story so you understand why I do what I do and why I’m so passionate about helping your family.

As a child I was plagued with migraines and constant fluid in my ears. My parents did the best they could and while I did see a chiropractor a couple times, I also had a lot of antibiotics.

In 2nd grade I even wrote a poem about what I thought I would be when I grow up:

“A pediatrician is what I will be. Helping sick kids who come to me.”

In college, I broke my collar bone while playing rugby.  My right arm was pinned to my body and I needed help with everything.  I was told I would be disfigured if I didn’t have surgery.  I didn’t know much back then, but I knew enough to know I didn’t want surgery.

My friends convinced me to see a chiropractor who helped me realize that it was multiple issues in my spine causing my health issues.  The sinus issues, the headaches and even the collar bone all got better. It was here I decided it would be important for me to do this for everyone.

In 2009 I received a call from my doctor informing me I had to come in immediately because I not only had severe Graves autoimmune thyroid, but I also was being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and a goiter.

I won’t bore you with my whole story, but I have since gone on to put multiple autoimmune issues into remission, am no longer insulin dependent and conceived my two boys naturally after struggling with infertility for more than four years.

I WANT TO HELP YOU DO THE SAME.

My passion is helping sick kids before they are born.  The way to do that is by helping Mama get healthy. Simply put, I fix people before they are conceived.

If I have a sick child, I probably have a sick Mom.

The good news?

The body is resilient.

We are innately resilient.

You can heal and I hope I’m the person to help.

I utilize chiropractic, lab testing, activation, and am willing to co-manage.
