Dr. Robert Torgrimson | Chiropractic Orthopedist

Tireless advocate of preventive health care!

Born in St. Paul, Dr. Robert Torgrimson grew up in Coon Rapids. After attending the University of Minnesota, Duluth, he was accepted at the 

Northwestern Health Sciences University in 1975 embarking upon a rigorous course of study including four years of intensive education after college.

Chiropractic Journey

Dr. Torgrimson earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1979. After practicing for one year in Coon Rapids, he moved to Duluth and opened his practice in Woodland.

Throughout his career, Dr. Torgrimson has sought to treat patients effectively and inexpensively. This commitment is expressed through his pursuit of continuing education to expand his knowledge and through his active involvement in professional associations.

He has achieved a variety of postgraduate degrees, including post-graduate radiology, A.M.A. Disability Evaluation Certification and Chiropractic Orthopedic Diplomate.

Out of more than 1600 chiropractors in Minnesota, in 1989 Dr. Torgrimson became one of only 25 chiropractors who have been awarded a Diplomate from the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists.

The prestigious Diplomate recognizes the recipient’s special skills and keen understanding of the health arts and the workings of the human body. It is one reason why Dr. Torgrimson has become highly sought after as a lecturer, health consultant to insurance companies, and expert witness in legal proceedings.

Continued Education

To keep abreast of the advances in chiropractic, he is active in a wide variety of health care associations. He is a member of the Council of Diagnosis Imagery and the Foundation of Chiropractic Education and Research and Services as a preceptor in the Northwestern College of Chiropractic Internship Program. In the mid 1980’s, he was elected president of the Northeast District Chiropractic Association.

Through his career, Dr. Torgrimson has been a tireless advocate of preventive health care. He believes many health problems could be prevented, if detected early. To encourage his patients, he has developed a variety of affordable family health care programs to fit individual financial needs.
