HOW TO REDUCE MUSCLE PAIN

First you want to determine the cause of the muscle pain and what is causing the problem. We suggest a thorough exam. We do motion study films so we can actually see how things line up structurally and why certain muscles would be under constant stress/tension and why some wouldn’t. The motion study films let us actually see what’s working and what’s not.

Once we’ve determined the cause (if it is correctable) then we actually want to get in there and we want to correct what is causing that problem or causing that dysfunction.

We do that through spine specific adjustments, corrective type traction, as well as neuromuscular re-education. Once you’ve corrected the problem, you want to re-educate the muscle, the tendons and the ligaments in the body so that it doesn’t go back. Then you want to maintain that correction at home. We give people the tools for what they can do to maintain that correction.

We have specific spinal hygiene protocol that focuses on mobility, proper movement and joint range of motion as well as stability. Strengthening those discs, strengthening those joints, strengthening those muscles so that this problem doesn’t go back a year from now, ten years from now, twenty years from now.

So, to reduce muscle pain, determine the cause, correct the problem and then maintain that through spinal hygiene focusing on mobility and stability exercises.
