BOSU/Disc

image of people working out on bosu equipment.

A great way to both work on strengthening the core muscles that wrap around your waist and support your spine and improve your balance and coordination is with a new workout tool called a BOSU which stands for "both sides up." On one side it is a half of a balance ball on the other side it is a flat surface.

This is a great tool that allows you to complete a variety of different workouts. Inflatable discs or foam pads are another type of workout tool to exercise your nervous system and improve your balance and coordination. This is a great way to reduce your risk of injury as you age. Many age-related injuries are due to falls because of poor balance and coordination.

Testimonials

  • "I have found everyone in the office so kind, knowledgeable and flexible. I would definitely feel comfortable referring others to this office."
  • ""Dr. Benson is absolutely wonderful. I started seeing him at the very end of my pregnancy for back pain. Due to carrying a very large baby, as well as, hoping to aid in opening my pelvis in order to get labor going. Just 2 hours after my second visit early labor had begun and days later our little boy was born. I look forward to returning!!""
