That varies from person to person. Factors such as lifestyle, age and the degree of spinal problems determine the time necessary to see results. Typically the more chronic a problem is, the longer it takes to see results. Happily, relief is just around the corner in most cases. From the initial exam findings, we usually know what to expect. Everyone is unique, but we have treated thousands of cases and have a very clear picture of what to expect.

Can chiropractic care help my lower back pains?
Many of the pain-sensing nerves of the spine are in the facet joints, the two interlocking “fingers” at the back of each spinal bone. The normally smooth surfaces on which these joints glide, can become rough, irritated, and inflamed.  Another cause of lower back pain can be a bulging disc putting pressure on the spinal cord or a nearby nerve root.  Chiropractic adjustments help normalize function to reduce painful symptoms – without drugs or surgery.  Chiropractic doctors often consult with neurologists, radiologists, and orthopedic specialists when designing care programs for patients with disc involvement.  Find out if yours is a chiropractic case and enjoy the positive results that millions of patients have discovered.

Can chiropractic care help my headaches?
A frequent and overlooked cause of headaches is the malfunction of spinal bones in the neck and upper back.  When spinal nerves and related tissues are stretched or irritated, they can produce throbbing headaches. Aspirin and medications may cover up these warning signs, but they do not correct the underlying structural cause.  If a thorough examination reveals reduced range of motion, loss of normal spinal curves, or mechanical restrictions, chiropractic care should be considered.

Will my insurance cover chiropractic care?
An important piece of legislation was passed in the 1986 session of the Kentucky Legislature. This new law brought to an end restriction depriving the policyholder of his privilege to select a Doctor of Chiropractic when the services covered by the policy are within the scope of Chiropractic license.  Therefore, a policy issued and underwritten in the Commonwealth of Kentucky may not discriminate between licensed services.  On occasion, an insurance company or its agents will not evidence an awareness of the full implications of the Insurance Equality law regarding the selection of a health care professional. Should any questions ever arise affecting you in this regard, further information may be obtained upon request from the Kentucky State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

At what age can children receive chiropractic care?
The modern Chiropractor can be called on to provide care for patients of all ages. Children are the easiest to help, for their spinal problems are not of long standing, and they respond quickly. There is no age limit on those who might benefit from Chiropractic care, and many patients come with long-standing problems that other healing avenues have not been able to help.
