Asthma Relief

Natural Asthma Relief and Chiropractic Help are available at your favor tie chiropractor Plantation FL

At Quantum Medical and Wellness Center, we believe in natural solutions to common ailments wherever possible. In society today, we have a mindset of ‘medication is the cure-all’ when, in truth, it only masks the problem and has the potential to make injuries and health conditions worse. With a natural help solution, the problem can be resolved at its source while also promoting long-term health.

Today, we’re going to be discussing asthma and the way in which our medical facility can help. With asthma being such a common issue, the results may vary from one person to the next but our patients seem to have great success once they start to visit regularly so let’s take a look at how it all works!

What Is Asthma?

First and foremost, asthma is now a common term in the medical world but what does it mean and how can it impact on the sufferer? As a chronic disease, asthma affects the airways which allow for air to move freely in and out of the lungs. For those with asthma, there’s inflammation on the inside walls of the airways. Therefore, the airways become extremely sensitive and a reaction occurs whenever they come in contact with any irritation or allergen.

Once a reaction takes place, the airways will narrow and the amount of air reaching the lungs decreases. As a result, the sufferer starts to wheeze, cough, and have trouble breathing after chest tightness. If these symptoms become too severe, it’s known as an asthma attack and this is where the muscles continue to tighten in the airways; the airways narrow further and even less air passes through. Unfortunately, it’s a negative spiral because this can also lead to the cells producing more mucus and this makes it harder to breath by blocking the airways even more.

Depending on the severity of the issue, the attacks experienced can vary greatly. In a mild attack, there’ll be some trouble breathing and the airways will feel tight but the feeling will soon surpass and the sufferer will be back to normal. If we compare this to a severe attack, some people have their airways closed so much they actually need medical attention because the vital organs don’t receive enough oxygen.

If you don’t control your own asthma, it can have an impact on your home, school, or work life as well as causing you to miss out on things you enjoy. In fact, asthma is still one of the biggest problems for schools because it forces children to take a significant amount of time off per year.

Development and Causes of Asthma

Unfortunately, despite the millions of dollars gone into researching asthma, we still aren't sure why asthma sufferers have inflamed airways. Of course, having parents with asthma dramatically increases the likelihood of us developing the same condition but this is by no means an ‘every case’ occurrence. In terms of the risks, experts believe exposure to infections, tobacco smoke, and various allergens will increase our chances of developing the condition.

In terms of causes and the things that bring on the symptoms, it can be different for each individual but some common causes include allergens, irritants, exercise, and viral infections. For example, some people might only have asthma when their heart rate is racing after exercise or when they have a viral infection. Although not a complete list, we’ve compiled a few of the most common causes below!

Irritants - Air pollution, quick changes in weather, strong emotional expression such as laughing or crying, stress, cigarette smoke, scented products, and any strong odors coming from cooking, painting, or anything similar.

Allergens - Cockroaches, animal dander, mold (inside or outside), dust mites, and pollen. If you’re unaware, animal dander is hair, skin, feathers, or anything that can fall from a pet around the home.

Others - Medicines (beta-blockers and aspirin), gastroesophageal reflux disease (this is where heartburn exacerbates the asthma symptoms), infections, any chemicals or dusts you might come across in the work environment, and sometimes even food and drink. With the latter, it’s the sulfites found in the products; the most common examples include wine and dried fruit.

As mentioned, this is by no means a full list and each case of asthma seems to be different. While some will only see a reaction with one of these causes, others will have to avoid multiple on a daily basis. With your own condition, you need to learn which are the problem areas since this’ll allow you to progress.

Types of Asthma

Why do people have different reactors and factors that make the asthma flare? Well, it comes down to the different types of asthma with which people can suffer. Starting with allergic asthma, this type flares when you’re exposed to pollen, mold, roaches, pet dander, or any other allergens such as food. From here, there’s also steroid-resistant asthma, exercise-induced asthma, nocturnal asthma, occupational asthma, and aspirin-induced asthma.

When you first see a doctor, they’ll need to know how your reactions arise before offering any type of solution. Once they know, and it might require some experimenting on your part, the right solution can be offered and you can benefit moving forward.

Depending on the type of asthma you have, the symptoms might be a little different too. For example, the majority will experience tightness in the chest before it then progresses into a cough, shortness of breath, and wheezing. On the other hand, it could start with flu-like symptoms before progressing into a scratchy throat and cough.

Introducing N.A.E.T

Short for Nambudripad’s Allergy Technique, this theory was actually developed by a Dr Nambudripad who has extensive experience within the chiropractic and acupuncture industries. With an M.D. degree, Dr Nambudripad has been running a clinic in California for many years and we’ve been lucky enough to visit numerous times in the past. Each day, the clinic welcomes dozens of patients while the facility also carries out extensive allergy research.

How does N.A.E.T help with asthma? As we know, asthma is brought on by many allergies whether environmental or from foodstuffs. With N.A.E.T, we have a solution that can resolve the issue of allergic reactions and prevent certain allergens from causing a hindrance in your life and we’re going to discover how it all works in due course.

With Dr Popkin and the superb team at Quantum Medical and Wellness Center, you have a fantastic team who are ready and waiting to help whenever you’re available. If you get in contact, you’ll be set up with a consultation and this is where we can discuss the problems you’ve been having and how we can proceed with session. On this note, what is N.A.E.T and how does it work?

What Is N.A.E.T?

In medical science, there’s a theory that our body is made up of electrical currents that flow through the body at every single point of the day; these can be called energy channels or meridians. Using this concept of electromagnetic energy (EME), allergic reactions are caused when the meridians are blocked in some way. Depending on the meridian being blocked, this leads to different symptoms.

With N.A.E.T, we have a solution that aims to stimulate the ‘alarm points’ which are found on either side of the spine. While the patient holds a vial containing the allergen, the energy within the body can be altered and the allergenic response reduced. With a physiologic change occurring with the chemical known as ‘enzymatic’, the immune mediators are neutralized thus interrupting the antigen-antibody reaction. During this process, the energy blockages are cleared and the brain is notified of the desensitization in the specific allergen.

As you can see, this is a superb help option and one that can be invaluable for sufferers of certain allergies. However, you might be wondering why you haven't heard of this solution before and it’s a good question. Over the last two decades, N.A.E.T has been researched and developed but this is still considered ‘new’ compared to other solutions available. For Dr Nambudripad, she has now trained over 4,500 professionals in the technique and we’re included in this list.

Sadly, the marketing budgets aren't in place to spread the news of this fantastic technique so the cutting-edge solution is still very much a niche market. For us, this is our chance to thank Dr Nambudripad for her efforts while also showing you the impact you can have on your asthma. By reducing the impact of allergens, your asthma won’t be triggered and you can live more comfortably. As mentioned earlier, results will vary from one person to the next.

For now, the best way to spread news of this solution seems to be the traditional word-of-mouth since this has been working in recent years. In 2017, we’re now finally seeing N.A.E.T mentioned in all sorts of research journals and reference materials so we’re set for an exciting few years.

Chiropractor in Plantation: Your Appointments

When you first get in contact with us, you can visit for a consultation and we find this is the best way to get the conversation flowing so you can feel comfortable in talking to us and visiting the facility. After we learn more about you and we hear about your problems, we can advise on the best steps to take. If you have allergic asthma and are looking to suppress these allergens to then prevent asthma symptoms, we might choose N.A.E.T as the best course of action.

What will happen in a typical appointment? To start, you’ll be asked to clean your hands with warm water and soap. By doing this, all foreign energies and substances can be removed and it allows for a great starting point. From here, we may also ask you to remove socks, shoes, and any electronic equipment you have including tablets, smartwatches, phones, watches, etc.

Once the preparation has been completed and you feel comfortable, the muscle response testing (MRT) procedure can begin. As an initial test, this will allow Dr Popkin to see the sensitivities you have and with which substances you may need help. As a painless procedure, a parent can be used as a surrogate if the solution is for a child. Before anything, the parent will be tested to ensure they aren't allergic themselves.

After recording the initial results, the first session can begin and this is where the patient holds a small vial with the allergen energetic inside. For the doctor, they use a small instrument in order to target the important acupressure points in the spine. Before the session begins, you’ll have discussions with Dr Popkin as to whether you prefer electro-acupuncture, laser acupuncture, acupressure, or needle acupuncture.

Once the procedure has finished, you’ll be asked to relax for around twenty minutes. During this time, the body will start to desensitize to the allergen so it’s an important part of the process. For children, the vial can be strapped to the body to prevent incidents (using hypoallergenic tape). Whether an adult or child, the next step will be to wash the hands again but this time with no soap as this reduces the substances’ bioenergetics.

Before you leave the office, you’ll be provided with written instructions for how to proceed in the coming days and weeks. As well as products to avoid, it’ll also explain how long this avoidance period needs to last before going back to normal.

N.A.E.T FAQs

Can I take advantage of N.A.E.T? - Regardless of age, gender, or any special circumstances, we invite you to speak with Dr Popkin since N.A.E.T is generally available for everybody. In the past, we’ve helped newborns, pregnant women, infants, children, and, of course, adults.

Do I need to avoid the allergen for long? - As we saw with the details regarding your appointments, you’ll enter an avoidance period once the help solution has finished. Why? Your body will actually be sensitive to the allergen for which you were helped. For the most part, we recommend a minimum of 25 hours but your circumstances may require something longer. When you’re handed the written instructions, you can ask questions and make sure you know exactly how the days ahead should go.

What are the side effects of N.A.E.T? - For some reason, there’s a misconception that every solution in the world needs to have a side effect. Remember, this is a natural session so there are no reported side effects as long as the help solution is carried out correctly. If you choose somebody who hasn't been trained in this area of care, even if they’re renowned for their work in the industry, there’s a risk of an allergic reaction.

When you choose a qualified and reliable chiropractic service, like Quantum Medical and Wellness Center, the success rate is extremely high because the solution and protocols have been researched extensively. Of course, you’ll also play your part in the session by committing and following through with the orders of the doctor. When the guidelines are followed by everyone involved, you can expect results leading to a reduction of the allergies, an enhanced immune system, and an overall improvement in well-being.

How many sessions are required? - Since we like to work on a case-by-case basis and personalize all sessions to the patient sitting in the chair, this question is a difficult one to answer outright. Initially, we’ll consider body type, medical history, genetic makeup, personality, and more. As we find the allergens that require help, we’ll normally suggest one session per allergen to allow your body to desensitize before moving onto a different allergen.

If you have multiple allergens needing help, only one will be done per session because your body needs to concentrate on one at a time. Additionally, if you’re being helped with for several foods, we don’t want to do them all at once and restrict your diet severely. Instead, we allow the avoidance period to do its work and then have you return for the next allergen for best results.

Which allergen will be addressed first? - Within Dr Nambudripad’s research, she found there’s an order by which the allergens need to be helped with. If you have allergens in food and outside of food, the food allergens will be addressed first because this affects your diet. Once these have been addressed, you can proceed with a healthy diet and put your body in a great position to succeed with the rest. With improved digestion, immune system, and absorption, ridding your body of other issues should be an easier task.

Generally speaking, the order for sessions is as follows; egg mix, calcium, vitamin C, B-complex, sugar, vitamin A, iron, salt, chlorides, mineral mix, corn, yeast, and then wheat. Just in case you think this is random, it’s actually carefully curated because the relief of one should contribute to subsequent allergens. If you address the early allergens, you can reduce (or potentially remove) the need for seeing to the others later in the list.

Can I get allergy shots instead? - Of course; your body is your own and you can choose the solution you think will bring the best results. However, we wouldn't recommend choosing this route because they cannot bring long-term results.

With allergy shots, a tiny amount of the substance is injected into the skin with the aim of desensitizing against the allergen. Normally suggested as a symptomatic approach, the injections will be given twice a week to start before the dosage is decreased over time. Depending on the symptoms you experience, a maintenance level will eventually be established with the process lasting up to seven years. Not only is long-term success not guaranteed, this session doesn’t even consider the root cause of the problem and it causes pain at the injection site.

If we were to compare this with N.A.E.T, we have a solution with no needles, no shots, and no medication. Furthermore, it doesn’t cause any pain and it should only take a few visits before positive results are achieved. As we’ve discussed, the number of sessions required will vary from one person to the next but we pride ourselves on offering a help plan where the majority receive relief in as little as three months. Even for those who have been struggling with the allergies for most of their lives, the plan can make a difference and they enjoy a life free from allergies and free from the resulting asthma that normally comes with it.

Summary

All things considered, N.A.E.T is a superb solution and one that we recommend highly. Considering allergies and asthma can both cause huge issues for the sufferer, dealing with these allergens provides a fantastic stepping stone for dealing with asthma too. Compared to all other ‘solutions’, there’s no real comparison because it’s completely natural, you don’t have to worry about medication, injections, needles, or side effects, and it has years of development and research behind it.

At Quantum Medical and Wellness Center, we pride ourselves on offering the best possible service while caring for YOUR needs. At all times, you’ll be the center of attention and the personalized help plan will update based on your progress.

*“Mia was suffering from many allergies and we did not even know it. At 10 months old she had already had several colds that would last longer than normal, turn into bronchitis and even wheezing. After only 3 or 4 visits of sessions with N.A.E.T., Mia started sleeping better and be interested in everything like a 10 month old should! Thank you all for your help. She’s been feeling so much better now for more than 2 months. I came here looking for some help for my little girl and I found more than I asked for!”*

*“Thank you for helping my family. Especially my husband! What you have done is short of a miracle!! For your readers to understand, let me explain….At one time my husband was extremely sick with asthma: 3 inhalers – 3 times a day! Another time he was on allergy shots for over 2 years! Recently, the last 3 years he has been taking Claritin-D 24 hour tablets and a steroid nose spray everyday. He felt he could not deal without them. Within seeing Dr. Popkin for 3 months he no longer needs or desires these medications. The N.A.E.T. sessions seem to have helped his allergies!! This is going to make the quality of life so much better. My husband is 35. You health is worth the time and money. My sons, Trenton & Ricky, daughter Heather and myself are grateful to you. THANK YOU!!!!”*

*“My four year old son was in one of his extreme asthmatic attacks, even using his facial muscles to breathe-this after just having spent 2 hours on a hospital inhaler. A few moments after a session for water chemicals we listened to his lungs again – and they were normal. Thanks Dr. Popkin.”*
- Vince Deport

*“Rami, was 3 years old when he started getting colds. His nose was always running and his eyes were watery. His mother had enrolled him in a pre-school and thought he must be catching colds from other children. He loved to finger paint and write on the chalk board. The mother would post it to the refrigerator. His nasal passages and ears were becoming congested that the Docotr thought it would be best to insert tubes in his ears. He would wake up crying at night from the pain. We found he was allergic to the finger paint and newsprint and chalk at school everyday. After doing NAET for these items his nasal passages and earaches cleared up. Thank You Dr. Dave!”*
