Upon entering our office, you will be warmly greeted by a member of our staff. The Balanced Atlas strives to be a Green and Eco-friendly healthcare facility. We utilize Electronic Health Records and therefore provide our New Patients the ability to complete their intake forms online, and submit them to our database via our encrypted, HIPPA compliant online portal. This cuts down on wait times and allows you the freedom to complete your paperwork at your own pace.

If you prefer to print out your forms or want to fill them out in the office, no problem. We can easily scan them into our system and recycle the paper.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Harrison to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Harrison to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine if NUCCA Chiropractic is the right option for you.

Your first visit is extremely important and we have set aside the proper time so that you will not feel rushed through the process. You will have plenty of one on one time with Dr. Harrison to discuss any health concerns and questions. We ask that you allow approximately 1 hour for your first visit at The Balanced Atlas.

NUCCA Examination

After your consultation, Dr. Harrison will perform a complete NUCCA Chiropractic examination. This examination will evaluate your postural body alignment. You can have subluxations (misalignments) and not even know it. Like the early stages of tooth decay or cancer, subluxations can be present before warning signs appear.

Body imbalance is determined by leg length disparity, postural measurements performed on an instrument called an Anatometer, bi-lateral weight difference and computerized Thermographic and EMG analysis. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

NUCCA X-Ray Studies

To not see is to guess, and we will not guess when it comes to your health.

Our clinic uses the latest technology in advanced digital X-ray. These digital images help us rule out more serious conditions and assist us in developing the most effective care plan for you.

The NUCCA technique utilizes a series of diagnostic exams to confirm if a misalignment is present. Among these, the taking of pre (before) and post (after) x-rays are of the greatest importance. On your first visit to our office a set of 3 films will be taken and later analyzed. After your adjustment, these films will be repeated, and analyzed in the same fashion mentioned before. These x-rays will then be compared and will give Dr. Harrison visual and scientific evidence that the correction was made. All NUCCA doctors must undergo rigorous training in x-ray positioning and analysis to meet the high standards for acceptable x-rays. Each film is scrutinized over and over in order to ensure consistency and accuracy. Also to rule out more serious issues.

Most people are amazed once they see their images and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves

Report Of Findings

Dr. Harrison will specifically design a treatment plan to get you the best results in the shortest amount of time and for the least amount of money depending on your specific circumstances and case. Our job is to offer you the very best care and we stand ready to help all patients, regardless of their health goals. How long you decide to benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you.

In your Report of Findings, Dr. Harrison will answer the three most common and important questions that our patients have:

• Can you help me?
• What do you recommend that I do to get better?
• How much is it going to cost?

After discussing with you your history and your goals, examining your spine and reviewing any x-rays or tests, your doctor will discuss recommendations with you. If you have a condition that requires care with other providers, the doctor will tell you. If we believe we can help you, we will recommend care and a wellness program.
