A few words on Masks.
As you have heard by now Mankato will be enforcing a mask mandate for inside all buildings starting Friday July 10th.
This is not to argue against or for them. But just some suggestions for those who will be having to have them on to shop or at work.
When you are breathing it will eventually become moist. It will trap the germs you are breathing out on the inside. It will also trap the germs on the outside from others. So to keep yourself safer please follow these simple steps.
1. Have multiple cloth masks.
Better yet is to use disposable masks and throw them away after leaving the building you are shopping at. Do not reuse the disposable ones.
2. Don't wear the same mask all day. I would suggest changing them every hour if you have to wear them continuously.
3. Don't touch and play with the mask. If you touch the outside then the inside or visa a versa you will be cross contaminating them.
4. Don't fold the masks onto itself. You do not want the inside of the mask to touch the outside of the mask.
5. Wash the cloth masks in hot water with a good laundry soap. Wash them after every time you wear them.
