When I first came into Coombs
Chiropractic, I was a brand new mom. I
had an 8 week old son whom I loved dearly, BUT I was completely
overwhelmed. Ryan was very colicky and
would cry for hours and hours. It got to
the point where if he was awake, he was crying. And to make things worse, he didn't sleep! Medically he had many issues during the first
few weeks of life… he had colic, severe reflux, a whole in his heart, jaundice,
eczema, an emergency delivery using a vacuum, and digestion delays. I was also told that there was not much we
could do except wait for him to outgrow it. In the meantime, we were all miserable. Ryan would wake up every hour and a half all night long, not nap during
the day, and like I said, cry hysterically for hours. One night at 3 am, as I was trying to get Ryan
back to sleep, I felt totally desperate. I was researching online when I came across the story of another mother
who was going through some of the same struggles. She explained that she started bringing her
baby to the chiropractor and was having great results. The baby seemed much more comfortable and the
medical issues were slowly improving. At
that moment I decided to find a local chiropractor that morning and give it a
try for Ryan. I guess I can say I was
lucky to find Dr. Rob because my decision in going to see him was very
random. I called that morning and got an
appointment immediately. I spoke to
Kristina on the phone and she made me feel very comfortable about bringing my
very young child into the office. Without going into too much detail, we saw a change with our son
immediately. That night after Ryan's
first visit, he slept for 8 hours straight! It was a miracle. After a few
weeks he also became a much happier baby. For me, this was the best part. Ryan was finally smiling and happy and just seemed much more
comfortable. We have had a wonderful
experience from that very first visit on. Dr. Rob took very good care of Ryan and really took the time to
understand my concerns. The whole office
staff was kind and friendly. And the
overall atmosphere of the office and the patients went far beyond my
expectations.
Dr. Rob has been such a huge part of my son's
health care; not only as a chiropractor but also as a friend that I have come
to trust immensely. Because Dr. Rob is a
father of three, he is able to combine his knowledge of wellness, health care,
and parenthood when working with my son. He has answered any question I bring to him and will have an open
conversation with me about any concerns I may have. I have learned so much since becoming a
patient at Coombs Chiropractic.
Ryan is now 9 months old and he is a whole new baby. The whole in his heart has closed, he has had no issues with jaundice, his reflux is gone, his digestive system is working much better, AND he sleeps thought the night! I am so grateful for the time we have spent with Dr. Rob and for all of the help he has given to my son. I look forward to continuing to work with him during future pregnancies and children.
