COVID-19 Office Update

To our Holland patients,

We are writing to let you know that McAlpine Chiropractic Group will only be seeing patients by appointment for injury-related and emergency complaints. This will be in effect for the next week and may be extended as the situation changes.

Presently, there are no federal or state mandates ordering chiropractic offices to be closed. We recognize that our office manages musculoskeletal-based conditions which can potentially unburden the larger medical system in our community. Yet, at this time, we feel we all share a social responsibility to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our community and we are doing our part to reduce exposure by only seeing emergency musculoskeletal cases and creating a safe clinical environment.

If you are in moderate to high grade pain and you believe it is caused by a sudden or pre-existing injury, please call us to schedule an appointment.

What have we been doing to make our clinic safer?

In addition to our routine measures to create a healthy space, we have made special preparations and taken numerous precautions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our preparations are based on the recommendations of credible authorities such as the CDC, NIH and EPA and there are links included in this memo for your review.

To minimize contact with other individuals and allow adequate time to take sanitary measures in between appointments, we have made several administrative changes to the way we see appointments.

We have taken measures to limit the occupancy of our building so that no more than 10 people are in our building at the same time. We have also taken measures to minimize the time spent in our waiting area and eliminated high touch objects, such as children’s toys, magazines and pens from the waiting area. We have also increased appointment times to allow for proper cleaning between appointments.

Under normal circumstances, we clean our office, treatment tools and treatment tables daily. Under these extraordinary circumstances, we have been sanitizing high-contact areas after every use with undiluted 70% isopropanol as recommended by the CDC for healthcare settings. In addition to regular hand washing, we are also using 70% percent isopropanol to disinfect our hands in between appointments.
