Dr. Heather Elton is a Board Certified Chiropractor, Certified in Acupuncture and has a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition. She has been practicing Chiropractic and Acupuncture in Lincoln since 1999. Dr Elton is originally from Northern Minnesota. After completing her pre-Chiropractic work at the University of Minnesota/Duluth, she attended Northwestern Health Science University and graduated in 1998 with her Bachelor in Human Science, Doctorate of Chiropractic and Certification in Acupuncture. She moved to Lincoln, NE in 1999 and worked as an associate Doctor for three years. In 2002, she founded and opened Elton Chiropractic and Acupuncture, P.C. Her passion for Nutrition and her desire to lead patients to a healthier lifestyle through natural health led her back to school in 2010. She received her Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition in January of 2013.
"My training in Clinical Nutrition has allowed me to work with patients at a new level. Using a scientific approach to determine nutritional deficiencies, toxicities, gastrointestinal and hormonal imbalances, has been paramount in improving the health and quality of life of my patients. The health of our nation has declined significantly and my goal is to be part of the change, one patient at a time."
Dr. Elton treats patients of all ages from infants to the elderly. She works with patients that suffer from back pain, neck pain, headaches, sinusitis, fibromyalgia, heel spurs, gastrointestinal disorders, menstrual irregularities, infertility, menopausal symptoms and many others.
"I believe that our bodies have a God-given ability to heal themselves, but often patients don't know what they need to get there. My job is to evaluate each patient's health and determine what it will take to get them feeling better and help them achieve better overall health."
Dr. Elton enjoys exercising, reading and spending time with her daughter.
