When we think resistance training it immediately goes to weights, the gym, exercise routines, maybe there's an "ugh" along the way if we carry the thought further into how would I incorporate it into my day, where would I even start, etc.
Where is the resistance?
In our heads.
Before we pick up a weight we have to face the mental resistance, BUT the really cool thing is that if we face the mental resistance as a form of training then something happens....
We get stronger.
Resistance makes us stronger.
Well actually, PUSHING AGAINST that resistance makes us stronger.
example:
I want to workout, BUT I don't have time (mental resistance) ->
-> where am I wasting time that needs to be removed from my day to make space for this training time (solution/push against)
Push against physical resistance -> physically STRONGER
Push against mental resistance -> mentally STRONGER
Stronger sounds good.
Getting stronger will be a challenge.
Challenges sounds like fun!! HERE's a cool link to help :)

Dr Asa
