The human body is Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical.
Mechanical - Muscles moving...
Electrical - Nerves firing instantaneously...
Chemical - Hormones releasing slowly...
Why do I point this out? Well... It's kind of interesting.
What made me think of it? A story about Orca's. More specifically about the dorsal fins of the Orca in captivity. (CLICK HERE to read full story) The point made was that if there were no more Orca's in the wild, then we would not think it abnormal for them to have dorsal fin collapse. We might merely chalk it up to "genetics".
The correlation was made to the Orca and the world we live in. We essentially live in captivity. That sounds bad, and the author did not specifically characterize us as living in captivity, like an animal in the zoo, but we live in-doors, not outside, we bind our feet, not barefoot, we have level walking surfaces, not all terain trails, etc.
It's not a bad thing. It's all we know, with the exception of the occassional camping trip of course.
We are starting to discover, however, that we can get back to the mechanical world. We are starting to learn how the body was actually designed to work in a mechanical world. We are discovering that moving mechanically can heal electrical and chemical malfunctions/disturbances/etc.
One story told of the Four Horsemen (Cancer, Heart Disease, Type II Diabetes (Metabolic Syndrome), and Demension), and that the risk of having all these guys catch us can be reduced by 19%. Meaning this "drug" reduces our chances of getting Cancer by 19%, Heart Disease by 19%, Type II Diabetes by 19%, and Demensia by 19%. This is not a prescription medication. This is not a chemical. This is not electroshock therapy. It is mechanical. It is FREE. It is ______. Well, I don't want to spoil it, but the answer key is at the bottom. (CLICK HERE to read more about it)
