Kansas City Acupuncture Clinic Helps Man with Syringomyelia Symptoms

Recently I had a patient come in with a syringomyelia in his cervical spine (his neck).  It was at a level in his neck (C6-C7) that his Doctors told him they would not operate.  It was a small syringomyelia but it had a big impact on his quality of life.  

He came in with symptoms of:

-dizziness and motor control issues that caused balance problems (he had to walk with a cane)

-pain in his neck and back that was constant

-having to sleep elevated since he was a teenager

-light sensitivity: bright indoor lights bothered him and sometimes made him feel faint

He was immune to all painkillers so taking them to help with pain was not an option.  

His results:

After his first visit he said that his neck and back pain were immediately 90% better.  What a relief! He kept noticing improvements at each visit.  Once he had his 6th Acupuncture treatment he didn't have to use his cane anymore.  By visit 8 he reported that he has been able to lay flat to sleep for the first time in almost 30 years.  He has been able to be more active at his job and is really enjoying his improved quality of life.
