Welcome to Chiropractic Care at kw health connection!  The chiropractors at our clinic are leading edge manual therapists that use the most current and gold standard systems of diagnosis and treatment available today.

One of the challenges that manual practitioners have today is that there is an expectation to form a diagnosis around pre-set orthopedic tests. The problem being that 'orthopedic tests' were designed, for the most part, for 'orthopedic conditions' by 'orthopedic surgeons' to assess if surgery is necessary. They are designed to pick up macro-injury to tissues. More often than not, manual therapists do not see macro-injury. Instead they are usually presented with micro tissue injury in the form of repetitive strain, cumulative trauma, or sustained postural injury. Therefore the manual practitioner is often left with their hands, and knowledge in anatomical structure, to determine the cause of a patient's symptoms.

Our chiropractors use functional assessment and a systematic approach to soft tissue palpation whereby the practitioner is able to delineate, feel, and therefore assess specific anatomic structures. We believe that using the skills necessary to specifically isolate structures involved in clinical conditions, we can then translate that knowledge into more specific treatment regimens.

As mentioned in Functional Anatomic Palpation Systems (FAP)TM :

"SPECIFICITY OF DIAGNOSIS = SPECIFICITY OF TREATMENT = SPECIFICITY OF RESULTS"
