Meet the Chiropractors

Dr. Jorge Barrientos-Lopez & Dr. Rick Morse are  chiropractors who serve Yakima and the surrounding communities in Washington.

Dr. Jorge Barrientos-Lopez & Dr. Rick Morse use chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient's lives, whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning.  Our doctors take a "whole person" approach in chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and we will be able to determine the root of the pain and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient's individual needs. Under the supervision and care of our caring and skilled chiropractors, patients report higher functioning in all areas of their lives.

If you have any questions about our chiropractors, or would like to learn more about chiropractic care at Westside Chiropractic Center, please call us at 509-966-3421 today!

    Jorge Barrientos-Lopez

Dr. Jorge Antonio Barrientos was born in El Salvador, where he lived until he was 8 years old. Dr. Jorge attended the public school system in Utah and graduated from Springville High School. Upon graduation he enlisted into the Utah National Guard as a linguist and administrative services. He served in the Utah Guard until he moved to Yakima, Washington in 2001, where he joined the 792nd Chemical Company. He served one tour of duty in Iraq from 2005-2006. During his tour in Iraq he was able to receive his United States Citizenship from the Roman Embassy. Upon completion of 8 years he left the military. Dr. Jorge was married to his eternal partner Tamara in 2001. Jorge and Tamara currently have 8 children.¬Initially Dr. Jorge was going to be a surgical nurse. While in school for this he was called to duty in Iraq for 16 months. When he returned from duty he was feeling the aches and pains of deployment and was tired of the same old cure that has been given to many of us, and that is painkillers, muscle relaxants and steroid shots. So his father In-law, Dr. Rick Morse, a chiropractor of 18 years started to treat him. As his conditions improved he wanted to know what was the difference from this type of doctoring and the medical paradigm. He came to find out that the main difference between the medical and the chiropractic profession is that chiropractic focuses on the cause of the problem and once the cause is found then they work with the body’s innate ability to heal itself by working with the nervous system via the spinal column. Dr. Jorge attended Yakima Valley Community College and Scott Community College in Iowa for his undergrad in health science. He was accepted into Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2007 and graduated from palmer in 2012.Interests
