Do you have poor quality sleep?

Over 35% of Americans suffer from poor quality sleep. Sometimes it's as simple as things that we're doing that we think are good for us that are actually affecting our sleep.

The biggest thing is - when do you take your supplements? Some supplements are really good for nighttime and help you sleep. Others can actually impede your sleep or prevent you from falling asleep or from staying asleep.

One of the biggest nutrients that you can take at night that will do this is Vitamin D, your sunshine vitamin. You should be taking that during the day. If you take it at night, it suppresses melatonin. Melatonin is required for you to sleep. So start taking your Vitamin D during the day - that will greatly help.

And if it doesn't, then give us a call because there may be some other things that we can work on that will help you get better quality sleep. But let's try that first - take the vitamin D during the day and let's see what happens. Please let me know.

I'm Dr. Paula Ruffin here to help you sleep better.
