Meet the Doctor

Dr. Ruffin graduated from The University of Michigan in 1988 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. While attending The University of Michigan, she did an internship at their weight management clinic and also at the Domino's Pizza World HQ Corporate Fitness Center. Her primary responsibilities were doing body composition testing, setting up nutrition and exercise programs as well as creating incentive programs and wellness plans for the clients.

Following graduation, she worked in physical therapy rehabilitation for 5 years as an orthopedic rehabilitation assistant.

Dr. Ruffin worked as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor while attending U of M. She eventually added certifications for Spinning and aerobics to her resume and continued to train and teach fitness for many years. She has also been an athlete all of her life. This combination has given Dr. Ruffin a confident grasp of how to help you heal from an injury, reduce your risk of injury, as well as be a top performer in your sport and in life.

She graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose CA in 1998 with a D.C. degree (Doctor of Chiropractic).

She has a great understanding of how well the combination of chiropractic care, physical therapy, and nutrition can give you the life you desire.

She is a Certified First Line Therapy Health, Lifestyle, and Nutrition Physician and has a passion for helping you and your family get their health on track and build a new lifestyle to keep it there.

Her favorite activities involve mountain biking, yoga, softball, volleyball, rock climbing, boating, and just about any other outdoor activity.

Her burning desire is to climb Yosemite's Half Dome and live in a home with a vineyard in Napa Valley, California.

Dr. Ruffin loves to read and keeps up on the latest research in an effort to provide her patients with the best possible up to date care.

As your Chiropractor, Dr. Ruffin is committed to using a "whole person approach" to bringing balance to your life. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time). Her customized interventions and lifestyle adjustments will optimize your body's conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Ruffin is able to help you accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
