Ooooh, our FAVORITE summertime KALE!

Don't make it hard for yourself to get the benefit of kale on a daily basis.  It's as easy as throwing it into your morning smoothie!

Since it grows well, and many of you likely have it fresh in your garden now, lets take a closer look at this “dynamite” green vegetable. For starters, know that it is a storehouse of vitamins and minerals. To that add a good fiber content, and it also contains phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are well known for their role in helping to prevent cancer. They trigger the production of enzymes in the liver that help in the detoxification process.

Kale can be steamed and served with organic butter, minced garlic, and Himalayan Crystal Salt and black pepper. Another great way to get it daily is to blend it into a shake with whey protein powder, a few organic strawberries, and unsweetened, vanilla-flavored almond milk. Of course anything can be added to this shake. Some people like to toss in cucumber and a part of an organic lemon, including the peel. Sweeten to taste with stevia. What a great way to kick off your day and bring on that robust feeling!

I must say though, that our current favorite way to chomp down the kale is dehydrated KALE CHIPS!  If you don't have a dehydrator, or the time, go this route:
