If you are going to be a true success inside and out, you must make time for yourself. This is not an option. It is a MUST. You need to daily de-stress and recharge at the inner level.
How do you do this? Spend time doing something that gives you a sense of peace and genuine enjoyment. Without this bit of pampering, you risk adrenal burnout.
The adrenal glands sit above the kidneys. If your system is stuck in the “fight or flight” mode (aka stress), these small glands pump out too much cortisol. Cortisol is a hormone that gets stored in fat cells, and — almost always — finds its way to the mid-section, thighs, and backside.
"Taking time for self” is a cardinal rule, so to speak, as far as weight loss is concerned (and for many other health-related issues, as well). Don’t underestimate its importance if you have made “a healthy you” a priority for 2013.
