Laura's Lentil and Brown Rice

Thyme, garlic, basil and oregano are the key spices making this dinner delicious.
Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 chicken broth or water
  • 1/4 cup dried lentils
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and place into a 9x13 baking dish and bake, covered at 350 degrees for 75 minutes.
  2. Top with 8 ounce shredded cheddar cheese. Bake an additional 15-20 minutes.
