Glazed Pearl Onions

This dish is not only appealing to the eyes, but to the tastebuds as well!
Ingredients

  • 30 pearl onions, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon stevia
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • Sea salt

Instructions

  1. Mix stevia and chicken stock in a pan and heat gently. Place onions, oil, butter, and chicken stock mixture and salt in a large enough skillet to hold the onions in a single layer. Add the vinegar and bring the mixture to a boil, cover and cook a few minutes, until the onions begin to soften.
  2. Remove the lid and cook uncovered until the liquid has evaporated and the onions become coated with glaze.
