Dutch Red Cabbage |

The cabbage in this dish is drizzled with an unique blend of flavors and cooked along with apple quarters making this a very delicious addition to any meal.
Ingredients
- 1 medium red cabbage, shredded
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon stevia
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup water
- 2 apples, peeled and quartered
- 2 tablespoons organic butter
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
Instructions
- Rinse cabbage with water and place in a heavy pan.
- In a small saucepan, mix bay leaf, cloves, salt, stevia, and cinnamon with water and bring to a boil
- Pour over the cabbage and cook gently for about 20 minutes. Add the apple and cook another 10 minutes.
- Remove the cabbage with a slotted spoon to a heated serving dish and toss with the butter and vinegar. Serve warm.
