General adaptations are taking place in our society every day. The human body adapts to stress whether it is physical, chemical, or mental. How our bodies handle these stressors is what is concerning. What triggers adaptations such as heart disease, diabetes, syndrome X, etc.? What makes one athlete perform better than another? Why do some people get cancer and others with similar backgrounds do not? Over the years I have only found one true answer to all of the above questions and it is derived from an individual's level of nutrition.
