Dear Dr. Brian

My back feels great! One of my medicines was causing the leg cramps. I would still be miserable had you not suggested that I or someone in the medical field review the side effects of all my medicine. I actually had to stop taking three different medicines. Lexapro, an antidepressant was causing my leg cramps. I was given naproxin for the leg cramp that interacted with the lexapro and cause my heart rate to go up, I was then given a pill to slow my heart down! This is all insane! So i got a pill for the side effect of the side effects caused by a side effect!(laughing)
I have a little bit of a brain sprain from stopping my antidepressant. the site says it takes up to 8 weeks to detox from seretonin uptake inhibitors.
You are one of the few health care people I have encountered in my life who has actually listened to me with concern. I think you are pleasant, very smart, and have a gift for healing people. These other people in the health care field are overworked and I think somewhat jaded or numb due to high numbers of atroscities that they witness daily.

A history of migraine headaches brought me to the chiropractor...when they occurred I was almost completely incapacitated. Autism

I am delighted to be able to write about my family's personal experience with Dr. Jennifer. I am a stay at home mother of a six, five and a four year old. My younger two boys were diagnosed with autism, two years ago... Until recently, he was not able to communicate. He has many sensory issues, and my husband and I seemed to be losing ground with our precious little boy. That is when I turned to Prax Chiropractic. Jake has been seeing Dr. Jennifer for a few weeks now and he has pulled out of his downward spiral and is making absolutely wonderful progress.

He has a "signing vocabulary" of almost a dozen words now. He has decreased his "tipee-toe" walking with appropriate flat foot walking in about 70% of his "travels". Like Jake, many autistic children do not sleep through the night, yet another "autistic characteristic". The lack of sleep was severely affecting his ability to focus and concentrate on moving forward with his learning during the day. But upon visiting Dr. Jennifer, Jake is sleeping 10-12 hours every night!!

Jake's teacher called us at home a few sessions into seeing Dr. Jennifer and asked what we were doing differently and if we were seeing the huge progress with Jake. As a mother of three young children, and two of them with special needs, I know that there is no "miracle" drug, procedure, vitamins, etc. But what I have seen with Jake within the last month has been nothing short of a blessing!!

I would like to thank you for making such a huge difference in my life and the lives of my 2 boys Gerry 9yrs old and Alex 6yrs old. Arm, Hand, Wrist Pain and Wellness

Nursing and Digestive

Problems Our 6-month-old son has been seeing Dr. Jennifer since he was 6 weeks of age because of poor nursing issues. Upper Back Pain and Sleeping Problems

I really cannot believe the difference that's been made in so short a time. I'm only 16 years old and for the last 3 years I would practically need a massage every night before going to bed to relieve my upper back pain. Child Back Pain and Allergies

Baby Constipation and Wellness

I want to thank you and your staff for working with me during the month of February. For all of my life I have been plagued with the horrible "dis-ease" of asthma. I have been on inhalers for years, and been to the emergency room on countless occasions. I'd get episodes so bad that I could barely breathe. During the heavy rain and wind, I'm sure there were many people like me who suffered wheezing and tightness constantly throughout the day. Your Chiropractic care seemed to open up breathing pathways and relieve tight muscles that constantly reminded me of this ailment. Although it was a few days before I felt a big difference, I really believe that I felt my body experience a change of self-healing. By the second week I re-visited my medical doctor who indicated that the inhaler I was on would not have to be used. She said that a substitute, less harmful medication, would be used and not as often as the last one. Thank God for relief and good news - less medication and I finally feel I'm in touch with my body. So once again, my thanks and gratitude to your care and professional staff. For those of you who have doubts, Chiropractic works!

Menopause

To Interested Women,

A few months back I hurt myself at work with a repetitive stress injury in the area of my neck and shoulder and upper arm. I started treatment with Dr. Brian Prax. Since that time I can say I am doing 85 % better.

And, there's more!! I've discovered an extra bonus with Chiropractic care. I am 44, and am starting the Pre-Menopausal era of my life. I was having irregular cycles and other major problems associated with this condition. What I realized one day in his office was that for the previous 6 months my cycles were on time and normal. I am not taking any hormones, or vitamins. (One of my New Year's Resolution's, though, is to start taking vitamins!)
I had never even been to a Chiropractor before, even though I had briefly worked for one years ago. I believed in this type of care, yet now I've experienced firsthand that it helps for the "Whole" person.

My hope is to continue Chiropractic care for the rest of my life.

Sleeping Difficulties Child

Hi, my name is Vincent Eric M., Jr., I am 10 years old and I am a patient of Drs. Brian & Jennifer Prax. Before I starting going to Atlas Chiropractic, I was having trouble sleeping all night. I would wake up in the middle of each night and would not be able to go back to sleep. I would go into my living room and turn on the television and that would help me get back to sleep. Sometimes the television would be on all night long and that would get my mother upset. It was not good for me or the P.G.&E. bill. When I finally made it to sleep it would be only for a couple of hours. The next day, on the way to school, I would fall asleep in the car. I was always tired in class.

Since my mom was going to Atlas Chiropractic, she thought it would be a good idea if I started going. I was complaining about my neck and my back hurting. I was also complaining about headaches. So one day, my mom brought me into the office and I got a scan and I talked to Dr. Jennifer. I got my first adjustment and that night I slept all night long! Since beginning Chiropractic care, I now sleep all night and my neck feels much better. Whenever something hurts, I tell Dr. Brian and he adjusts it and it feels better that same night.

I am glad my mother decided to bring me to Atlas Chiropractic. I look forward to it every time. I like Dr. Brian and Dr. Jennifer and the staff at Atlas Chiropractic. Thank-you.
