Meet Our Physician

  • Ron Dummar

Hello, my name is Ron Dummar. I am a licensed Chiropractic Physician, and hold a masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I selected a scientific evidence based program for my Chiropractic training and additionally completed more than 3,000 hours of training in Acupuncture and Medicinal Herbs.

As the founder of Community Health and Wellness I am dedicated to evidence based healing and pain relief. My ability to cater treatments to each patient's specific needs comes from my understanding of the unique balance that is required to allow for healing. It is my personal goal to create for each patient a healing environment producing a readiness to heal. I look forward to visiting with you and learning about your personal goals to achieve health and wellness.

My unique 'whole person approach' guarantees personalized care every time. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. You will receive a customized treatment plan formulated to maximizing your health. Using this unique approach, I am able to help you accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.

While attending school at BYU I married my high school sweet heart Hillary Gertsch. One day our two year old son fell and refused to walk. I encouraged my son to walk and placed him up on his feet, but with continued unsuccessful attempts I realized something was not right. A relative suggested we see a chiropractic physician. The physician looked at the young boy, and assessed him. He held the boy in his arms, pushed gently on his lower back and hip, then proceeded to set him down on his feet. My young son walked convincingly over to his mother, and I said to myself 'I want to do that'. In that same year I determined to complete a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine and a Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Today I welcome you and invite you to participate in your healing experience. I look forward to greeting you soon, and leading you in a life filled with health and wellness.
