With this your center of gravity has to change to accommodate the growing baby and uterus. That is why during this time stretching the back of your legs, hips and lower back is super important. These muscles get tight to help hold you upright, but as your pregnancy progresses you want to start loosening up to get ready for labor. Starting around 20 weeks I talk to my pregnant patients about specific stretches to help loosen these muscle groups. As the third trimester continues we add in exercises to help with common aches that can occur. Movement is also super important. At least 30 minutes per day of movement!
