Becoming pregnant is more difficult than many think. There are of course the lucky ones who conceive on their first attempt. For many of us, we are not that lucky. Some try to conceive for years without success and move on to the many interventions that are available now. It doesn't matter how you get pregnant or how grateful or excited you are pregnancy is hard. Yes, some women float through pregnancy on a cloud, but for the vast majority being pregnant is not the best experience. I was one that wanted to love being pregnant, but my body just had a tough time. I felt so guilty because we waited too long to have a baby, so I wanted to just enjoy it. Know that every woman experiences pregnancy differently and that it is okay to admit it's hard. It doesn't mean you aren't grateful or excited to be a mom. I think that it just prepares you for motherhood. Being a mom is amazing, but also hard. You are not alone!
