Pregnancy can be such a wonderful experience. However, as you progress through the weeks pubic bone pain/pressure can derail the excitement. Pubic bone pain or symphysis pubic dysfunction (SPD) is not very common it is very painful, and makes simple things difficult or impossible to do. Symptoms range from pain with walking, getting in and out the your car, rolling over in bed, or getting dressed. SPD occurs when the ligaments that normally keep your pubic bone aligned during pregnancy becomes too relaxed and stretchy as your due date approaches.

Below are exercises you can do to help create stability and decrease symptoms. It is also good to sleep with a pillow between your ankles and knees to keep your pelvis level. When getting in and out of your car try to keep your knees together. The more balanced or level you can keep your pubic bone the better you will feel. Rock tape and belly band also help. OPTP SI belt or Serola are the ones I recommend.
