My name is Stephanie Thurlow-Martin and I have 4 herniated discs; 2 in my neck and 2 in my lower back. For several months I was bed ridden after I was injured. The doctors prescribed me pain medications and muscle relaxers along with physical therapy. With 7 vicodin or more per day allowed me to sit in a car or a chair for less than 20 minutes: enough time to see both my pain management doctor, orthopedic surgeon and my physical therapist. After a year of exhausting their resources, with little improvement, they told me I was "as good as I was going to get unless I had surgery".
In the year 2000, I met Dr. Joseph De Armas, aka Dr. Joe. After several office visits, De Armas did what no other doctor could do... I was NO longer taking pain medications!! It was a miracle!
Today, I am back to living life as it was before my injuries, pain free and drug free. I continue to see Dr. Joe on an as needed basis when occasional flare ups occur. As always, I walk out of his office pain free. His staff and office are like family, they always give me the best care. Whenever Dr. Joe relocates, I will continue to drive as far as needed in order to see him. I owe so much to him. He has given me my life back. I have full confidence and trust in Dr. Joe's practice. I just wanted to take the time to thank Dr. Joe and his amazing staff for taking such great care of me. Not only through my most current episode but throughout the years. I am so grateful for your work and support these last couple of months. I am feeling much better and no longer experiencing the painful burning sensation in my lower back. I'm so glad I found Dr. De Armas. I've been to many different Chiropractors over the years. He is the best. Other Chiropractors I've been to get you in and out as quick as possible. It's not like that here at all. He spends quite a bit of time with you making sure you are back in alignment before you leave. He's so knowledgeable about all aspects of your health. He has made a huge difference in my overall health....not just my spine. There is also a nutritionist in the office who does massages. The absolute best massage I've ever had!!!
