Prediabetic? Me? Risks, Tests, and Lifestyle Change

By Kat Kleman

I’ve been very successful at ignoring the fact that I’m getting older. Hair dye and the good fortune of looking a little younger than I am are a big part of this feat. And a steady diet of fast food, Chinese food, and pizza, with Denny’s and IHOP occasionally thrown in hasn’t killed me, which has only enabled me in my denial.  (click here to read more)

Testimonials

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • ""My back pain, which had been bugging me for years, has diminished significantly. Everyone was friendly and professional, especially Momo.""
    Calvin K -- Colchester
  • ""I moved to Vermont in 1996 and my MA chiropractor taught Kelly and highly recommended her . I was anxious about leaving but when I made my first office visit with Kelly, I immediately knew I was in "good hands". I developed rheumatoid arthritis in 2001 and Kelly was so empathetic and has been able to combine chiropractic care with medical treatment that keeps me mobile. As a retired nurse I feel I am a good judge of "complete care" and this is what Kelly and the staff offer. If she feels your body is in need of medical attention she is quick to inform you of her opinion because she only wants you to be the healthiest you possibly can. 5 STARS are not enough."

  • ""I would refer family, friends, or co-workers to Onion River Chiropractic. Their wonderful staff and facility reduced my pain and increased my mobility.""
    Bob R. -- Warren
  • ""Onion River Chiropractic has been a god send to me. When I was in horrific pain and couldn't walk, their care and professionalism had me up and walking way sooner than I expected. Lately, my hip muscles were way overstretched due to overworking and my age. One visit and I was already 80% better. To me, they can't be beaten, and to anyone out there who needs help, I thoroughly recommend Onion River Chiropractic. They are really the best.""
    Dick P. -- Winooski
  • ""Onion River Chiropractic is the best place I have been for many years, being a patient for at least 10 years. The staff is very willing to help you feel better and get in on a very timely basis. The use of all the therapy equipment and personal help from the staff make you feel very relaxed and pain-free. After many medical problems, I am in the best personal shape in many, many years.""
    Frank -- Williston
  • ""I have had back pain issues most of my life but never believed in going to a chiropractor. However, after being involved in a horrible auto accident nearly 11 years ago, I decided to make an appointment with Onion River Chiropractic based on a recommendation from a neighbor, as my back pain was near unbearable. Since that first visit, I have gone for monthly maintenance and results have been such an improvement in the quality of my daily life. I highly recommend Dr. Kelly Rybicki, as she has exceeded any and all expectations I had for pain relief.""
    Mike M. -- Colchester
  • ""Treatment at Onion River Chiropractic helps me work out minor kinks and more serious problems as they arise--working with my body. I really need help from time to time and ORC keeps me going! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Feels like family!""
    Beth F. --Colchester
  • ""I was told in the late 90's that I would shortly lose the use of my right arm and hand. With monthly visits to Kelly and her staff, I can do almost everything.""
    Elizabeth H. -- Williston
  • ""I have been helped so much with chronic pain, injuries and general health by their very caring, kind, and professional staff. I will continue to refer family, friends, and coworkers as everyone can benefit from chiropractic care and massage."
Patricia H. -- South Burlington, VT"

  • "Dr. Kelly Rybicki & staff are absolutely wonderful! Always so friendly & caring. My life is a lot more comfortable thanks to them."
    Marlene A.
  • "A professional, caring, and knowledgeable staff. The massage and other treatments provided in addition to the adjustments make a huge difference!"
    David Q.
  • ""I have received EXCELLENT treatment at ORC. Perhaps the most striking thing I first noticed was the length of the appointments. I have heard that the typical chiropractic appointment lasts just seven minutes. Not so at Onion River Chiropractic. They take care of you there. Thorough massage treatment is used in conjunction with back adjustments, and it is not fast. I feel better when I leave, and unlike some places. Dr. Kelly often lets me be the judge of when I need to come back, if ever. I also appreciate receiving the periodic newsletters that provide helpful healthy insights for the whole body. Some of the short write-ups are progressive, forward-thinking, and perhaps even cutting edge.""
