What are Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques?
Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques, also known as NAET®, are a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to eliminate allergies of all types and intensities using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine. One allergen is treated at a time. If you are not severely immune deficient, you may need just one treatment to desensitize one allergen. A person with mild to moderate amount of allergies may take about 15-20 office visits to desensitize 15-20 food and environmental allergens. Basic essential nutrients are treated during the first several visits. Chemicals, environmental allergens, vaccinations, immunizations, etc. are treated after completing about fifteen basic essential nutrients. An allergy is defined as a hypersensitivity of the immune system to a particular substance which may bother you but may be harmless to someone else. Whenever there is a chronic disease or illness, there are always allergic factors associated with it.
Do you know what the difference is between an allergy and an intolerance?
A true allergy is associated with a histamine response. These reactions are usually associated with hives, rashes, itching, breathing disorders and, in the most severe cases, anaphylaxis. Allergies are conventionally tested through blood or skin testing. Allergists look for an IgE response, which is an antibody responsible for immediate hypersensitivity to an allergen. An intolerance comes under the umbrella of an allergy and accounts for 75-90% of all antibodies circulating in our bloodstream. These antibodies are classified as IgG in the blood. Intolerances are often trivialized and overlooked because allergists give their most attention to histamine reactions (IgE response). An intolerance is actually a negative reaction to a particular substance. For example, when one eats a bowl of pasta, one person may get tired or need to take a nap, and another may get a headache or acid reflux. Your child may have some difficulty concentrating or focusing on his or her homework after that bowl of pasta. Another child may become aggressive or have behavioral changes. These are all intolerances!
An allergy or intolerance targets the path of least resistance. It targets the weakest link in your system. For the person with asthma, the weakest link is the lungs. For the person with Colitis, the weakest link is the colon. For the child with Autism, the weakest link is a brain allergy. IgG antibodies are associated with brain allergies. Most prominent allergens in brain allergies are gluten (wheat products) and Casein (dairy products). The most pronounced brain allergies are seen in Autism, PDD, ADD/ADHD, but also include Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
Conventional allergy treatments require taking medication (which could potentially have harmful side effects), allergy shots, or avoidance or rotational diets. Socializing is difficult if a young child is involved in an unguarded environment. What is NAET and how does it work?
NAET stands for Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique, which reverses the body's response to stop reacting to allergies. Dr. Devi Nambudripad is the founder of NAET and is a licensed Medical Doctor, Acupuncturist, Chiropractor and has a PhD in Acupuncture. NAET is a combination of the principles of Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Kinesiology and Nutrition in a unique manner to rid the body of allergies. NAET is a safe, holistic and non-invasive technique to stop your body from reacting to allergies. According to Oriental Medicine principles, when the body's energetics are in balance, no disease can exist. When the body comes in contact with an allergen, the energy is disrupted in the pathways called meridians. This results in allergic symptoms. Basically, an allergy is an energy imbalance between the electromagnetic energy of the person and the substance causing adverse physical, physiological and/or psychological responses in the person's body.
NAET is actually energy medicine which tests for allergies utilizing Kinesiology. The premise behind this technique is that the allergen's energy weakens the energy of the patient. Kinesiology is basically muscle testing. A strong muscle response indicates no allergy or complete compatibility. A weak muscle response is indicative of an allergy or intolerance. A NAET practitioner also tests for allergies via blood work looking at IGE and IGG antibodies. Once the allergies are determined, the patient is placed in physical contact with the allergen for 20 minutes while acupressure points are stimulated alongside the spine as well as additional acupressure gate points located on the arms and legs. By stimulating a specific set of points in a specific sequence while being in physical contact with the allergen, NAET reverses the body's response to stop reacting to allergies. Through this process, NAET erases the nervous system's previous reaction to an allergen and imprints a new healthy response, a symptomless one! NAET provides permanent relief from allergies and is life altering to most people with chronic illness and allows them to reclaim their lives. NAET and Autism
Of all the conditions that respond to NAET treatments, the most significant results to date have been in the reversal of Autism spectrum disorders. Autism strikes 1 out of every 150 children in America. Autism is very allergy related. Gluten and casein are certainly the biggest offenders, but spectrum children have so many allergies to basic vitamins, minerals, food additives, food colors, chemical sensitivities, environmental factors and much more. In October 2005, Dr. Devi Nambudripad concluded a one year pilot study in Buena Park, California. This double blinded study was composed of 60 Autistic children from ages 3 to 10. All children were non verbal, non communicative and had no eye contact. There were 30 children in the control group who received no NAET treatments. There were 30 children in the experimental group who received 50 NAET treatments of which four children dropped out of the study due to various reasons. This left 26 test subjects who received all 50 treatments. The children were treated for allergies to basic vitamins and minerals, foods, chemicals, environmental factors, vaccinations, antibiotics and any medications they were exposed to including prenatally. By the conclusion of the study, 23 of the 26 children were removed from the autism spectrum. That's 88% of the treated children who lost their label of autism by independent psychiatric evaluations and reports from the children's school psychological departments. The parents of the 3 remaining children in the study stated significant improvements in their children, but still needed additional NAET treatments for recovery. In the Fall of 2011, Dr. Nambudripad's study was published in Integrative Medicine, A Clinicians Journal.
The conclusion of this study is undeniable! Autism is treatable and reversible. Autistic children are living in a cloud of allergies.
