Holistic Pillars of Wellness

Holistic Pillars of Wellness

If you want to have a happy life and a strong body, then you should become familiar with the eight Holistic Pillars of Wellness. These eight pillars allow you to experience total wellness, from your thoughts to your everyday activities. At Live Proper Chiropractic, we keep these pillars in mind when creating a chiropractic care plan for you. Let's take a look at the eight Holistic Pillars of Wellness and how to benefit from them.

.

Physical - The physical health of your body is important. It is important to make sure that you move around regularly to avoid atrophy of the body. Simple activities such as walking along with occasional bodyweight exercises may be enough to keep you in excellent physical health. If you ever encounter chronic or acute physical pain, several non-medical and non-invasive therapies can help you feel better.

Nutritional - Everything that you consume will either have a positive or negative effect on your body. Therefore, it is important to be mindful of what you eat. It is important not to eat to excess. Make sure what you eat is contributing to your body's overall health. Fruits and vegetables should be a part of every daily diet. Also, avoid processed foods and foods with little or no nutritional value.

Emotional - How you feel makes a big impact on your overall health and wellbeing. You must find the time to regulate your emotions. Proven practices like transcendental meditation allow you to slow down your body and control and fears and anxiety. Your emotional wellness can help you in many ways, some of which you may not have expected.

Social - Human beings are social animals and having healthy relationships is important. Be sure to socialize at least a few times a week. Also, be sure that you are healthy social relationships. Social wellness can go far in improving your overall health.

Spiritual - spiritual wellbeing is important to consider, especially in challenging times. It is important to know that there are forces at work that are outside of your control when things are especially challenging.

Intellectual - As people get older, they lose the desire to learn. Keep yourself intellectually curious by continuing to learn. This will keep your mind sharp and keep you engaged with the world.

Financial - The world operates on the money. Also, you work to sustain your lifestyle. Be sure that money issues don't take over your life. Always spend less than you make. Don't forget to save and invest the rest.

Environmental - You are a product of your environment. Therefore, you will want to make sure that you are surrounded by a healthy environment. Make sure you live in a space with clean air, pleasant sounds, and uncluttered surroundings.
