If someone told you that you could trim inches of fat off of your waist, arms, butt and thighs by relaxing in a recliner listening to music you would tell them they are crazy right?  Well you would be wrong! There are many types of body contouring techniques out there, most of them are expensive and some are very invasive. Our cold laser body contouring is safe, effective and  very affordable, all from the comfort of a recliner!

How Does Laser Body Contouring Work?

You essentially have the same number of fat cells in your body once you hit puberty.  The only difference is that these cells get larger or smaller depending on energy supply and demand.  Laser Light Lipo utilizes paddles that have numerous LEDs (light emitting diodes).  These paddles are placed upon the area to be treated.

The light emitted is of a specific spectrum that penetrates through the skin to the layer of adipose (fat) that in between the skin and muscle layer.

Once the light hits these cells the energy absorbed causes the cells to become porous allowing holes for the inside contents (free fatty acids, water, glycerol) to leak out.  These substances then inter the space in between the individual fat cells (adipocytes) and is then eliminated by natural body processes of metabolism and waste removal.

Laser Light Lipo FAQ’s

  1. Who Qualifies for Laser Body Contouring?
    1. The best candidates for Laser light Body Contouring are typically healthy adults, over the age of 18 who are within 25 lbs of their ideal body weight.  This procedure allows us to “spot treat” specific areas of increased adipose tissue so problem areas may be addressed on an individual basis.
    2. This doesn’t mean that larger patients cannot benefit from the procedure.  However, this is not a procedure that should be used for weight loss.  The most important aspect of any treatment plan is to set realistic expectations.  The more adipose tissue in the problem area will need more treatments to achieve results.  On your first visit, our physicians and technicians will work with you to develop a treatment plan specifically for you with your goals in mind.
  2. What areas do you treat?
    1. Traditionally the most common areas treated are the following:  Neck/Chin, Chest, Lower Back, Upper Arms, Abdomen, Buttocks, Thighs and Calves.  If you have an area other than those listed you may ask our physicians if it is appropriate to have the procedure done on that area.
  3. How much does it cost?
    1. Treatment costs are dependent on treatment sessions.  As a service to our clients, we have decided not to follow our competitors and charge for each individual area.  We set our prices are based upon time sessions.  This allows us to offer the most value to our clients at the most competitive prices.  Our laser treatment times are either 30 or 60 minutes.  We will treat as many areas as our laser diodes will allow within that time period.  Typically, the average body size will allow us to treat up to three areas per 30 minute session and up to six regions per 60 minute session depending on the size of the area that is treated.
    2. We also offer different packages of treatments to meet your fat loss goals.
  4. How long is each treatment?
    1. The initial appointment includes a body assessment by our highly skilled technicians.  This allows us to become familiar with our clients and address their concerns and determine the best course of treatments to meet their fat loss goals.  The treatment times are either 30 or 60 minutes, and following the laser treatment the client will undergo a cardio exercise session to maximize the fat loss.  Our clients are permitted to utilize the cardio equipment as long as they desire at no additional cost.  We strive to maximize your results and will support you any way we can.
  5. How many treatments will I need?
    1. Treatment numbers depend on the number of areas of treatment and the desired effects.  The more adipose tissue to lose, the more treatments required.   The Integrated Body Contouring staff will assist you in finding the most efficient treatment plan to reach your goals.  We then have treatment packages to meet your financial objectives.
  6. How quickly do I see results?
    1. Many clients see immediate results.  Larger patients see less of an immediate result due to their girth size.  Since the adipose cells are porous for up to three hours post treatment, the more active you are after the treatment you could continue to lose adipose several hours after the treatment.
  7. What results could I expect?
    1. Results of course are individualized.  Good results (1-2 inches) are frequently reported with little to no lifestyle changes.  Great results (3-7 inches) are often achieved with minor lifestyle changes.  Clients who maximize the 3 hour post treatment window and make greater, healthier lifestyle changes have reported results of greater than 10 inches over a several week period of treatment.
  8. How long do the results last?
    1. Everybody has a “Fat Set Point”.   This is the level of body fat that the individual normally gravitates to.  Just like stopping a diet, the adipose tissue will return to pre-treatment state.  We strive to provide the latest science based research to assist you in keeping the fat off once it has been lost.
  9. What lifestyle changes do I need to make?
    1. “If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten.”
    2. We recommend several, easy to follow lifestyle changes.  “Try to move a little more, eat a little less and drink more water” doesn’t work for everyone.   The Integrated Body Contouring staff will go over several easy to follow lifestyle changes custom tailored to the individual to maximize long-term results.
  10. What happens to the fat?
    1. The laser penetrates the skin down into the fat later.  The laser causes the surface of the fat cells to become porous and causes the cells to dump their contents into the space in between the cells.  Once it is in the space between the cells, your body will then utilize the contents for energy and eliminate it via sweat and urination.  If the body does not utilize all the energy provided, the adipose cells will re-absorbed the contents.  This is why we stress high activity post treatment.
  11. Why do I have to exercise after the treatment?
    1. “Sweat is fat crying”.  We realize that many other offices utilize vibrations plates after their treatment, however, we want to offer our clients the best treatment to maximize their results.  Vibrations plates will increase lymphatic drainage, however it does not increase the heart rate and therefore does not stimulate metabolism.  We utilize vibration during the entire treatment to achieve lymphatic drainage.  Post treatment we recommend cardio exercise to get the heart rate elevated and to achieve a jump start of the metabolism that is unachievable with just vibration.  Also exercising within the three hour post treatment Fat Burning Zone will cause the body to continue to burn even more calories for several hours after the treatment.  The end result is the best possible set up for maximum fat loss.
  12. Is the procedure safe?
    1. Independent clinical studies have shown the Laser-Like Lipo to be completely safe with no side effects. The fat reduction laser simply triggers a natural reaction of fat cell release. The process does not cause any damage and cells remain intact, just smaller, giving immediate results.
