Dr. Michael J.A. Longo

Dr. Michael’s chiropractic journey started in 2011 after making an appointment at
Renaissance Chiropractic Center. Two weeks prior he had sustained an injury to his
low back and was unable to walk. For a guy who enjoys the outdoors and being
super active, this setback was less than desirable. Uninterested in masking the pain
with meds and sitting idly on the couch, he was in search of a more holistic
approach. Unsure of what chiropractic could offer, he heeded his wife’s advice and
made an appointment to see Dr. Mike Long. His interest piqued as he walked out of
his first adjustment, after being unable to walk into the office without assistance.

He continued receiving care to alleviate his symptoms but a seed had been planted,
there was so much more to chiropractic than just pain relief. He learned that our
bodies have an amazing capacity to heal and function properly if given the
opportunity. With chiropractic’s focus on making sure that our bodies are balanced
and our nerve system is free of interference, the possibilities are limitless.

After Dr. Michael’s undergraduate studies were fulfilled, he attended Life
Chiropractic College West in the bay area of California. He and his wife Michelle
welcomed their first son Finn while living there. After graduating Summa Cum
Laude and Salutatorian in 2018, they returned home to the Tacoma area and
deepened their roots as they welcomed their second son Rowan in early 2019. Dr.
Michael looks forward to educating, inspiring, and empowering his community to
reach their wellness goals.
