Upon entering our office, our new patient advocate will explain all the necessary confidential information that will be needed to proceed with your initial visit with one of our doctors.
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with one of our doctors to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and health goals. This initial visit is designed for our doctors to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, our doctors will perform a thorough chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and overall spinal flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well to make sure chiropractic care is right for you. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Digital Imaging Studies
We pride our selves in offering the most advanced digital imaging system available today. What this means to you as a practice member is very little radiation and superior quality films. Depending on your specific condition, we may take radiographs of your spine. Spinal imaging can help us develop the most effective recommendation of care for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions which may need a referral to another specialist. Most people are amazed once they see their films up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. And of course if you would like a copy of your radiographs you may ask for a free disc of your films.
Your Tests Results
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, your doctor will give you a detailed report of the results of you tests and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- What will my treatment cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, your doctor will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Your doctor will provide the best recommendation of care or wellness program to meet your needs.
Spinal Adjustment
At the conclusion of your Test Results, you will experience your first chiropractic adjustment. The goal with each spinal adjustment is to normalize the movement in the spine to allow the nervous system to function better.
At Home Instruction
Your doctor may recommend ice therapy, spinal exercises and other lifestyle changes which will facilitate your nervous system and overall spinal health.
