Ready to Finally Get Rid of that Chronic Debilitating Pain?
Introducing: Radial Pressure Shockwave Therapy
What is it?
RSWT utilizes pneumatic compressed air to drive a piston inside a cylinder to produce high-energy acoustic (sound) shockwaves into the treatment area to help reduce muscle aches, spasm and pain to promote tissue healing without the need for medication or surgery.
How does it work?
Shockwaves are introduced into tissues at a controlled dosage including depth, intensity, frequency and duration. The pressure waves effect tissues at the cellular level to increase blood flow, form new blood vessels, stimulate stem cells to repair damaged tissue, break up scar tissue, adhesions and myofascial trigger points to promote healing.
What does it Treat?
Many orthopedic musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Ask Dr. Barry if this treatment option is right for you.
Is it covered by insurance? How much does it cost?
Unfortunately, RSWT is not covered by insurance. This is a self-pay procedure. The cost is $75.00 per treatment. A Package of 6 treatments is as low as $50.00 per treatment.
How long does it take to work?
Most patients will see improvement after the very first treatment. Six sessions once per week are recommended for most effective relief.
Does it hurt? Are there side effects?
RSWT can cause some discomfort during treatment, most people describe it as a mild stinging sensation; the level of discomfort can be adjusted by the practitioner to suit your tolerance, and you can usually resume normal activities immediately after the session. Potential side effects include redness, swelling, mild to moderate discomfort and occasional, however unlikely, bruising.
What clinical studies have been done to show effectiveness?
Double-blind, randomized, controlled studies, indicate up to 91% improvement with 84% success rate for numerous conditions. Shockwave therapy is a proven effective treatment supported by medical literature.
Testimonial
I recently had an outstanding shockwave therapy session with Dr. Barry to treat my chronic tennis elbow, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dr. Barry took the time to explain the entire process, making sure I understood how the treatment works and what to expect. His expertise and reassuring manner immediately put me at ease, and he carefully targeted the areas causing the most pain. While I could feel the pulses during the treatment, the discomfort was minimal, and I noticed a significant reduction in pain and improved mobility. If you’re struggling with persistent tennis elbow or any chronic pain, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Barry for shockwave therapy — it’s been a game-changer for me!
