Ozone Injections

Ozone Therapy

If you have been in our clinic in the past 2 months, or follow us on social media, you may have heard us talk about ozone therapy.

So, what is it?

Ozone therapy is a medical treatment that helps to introduce ozone into the body. Using medical grade oxygen (O2), combined with an ozone generator, we make O2 into O3. The doctor fills a syringe with O3, then injects it into the affected area.

Who could use ozone?

The answer to this question is most people! Ozone treats painful, injured, or damaged tissues! It helps decrease pain and inflammation for a variety of symptoms. Some things ozone helps to treat includes:

  • neck and back pain or stiffness
  • degenerative discs
  • vertigo
  • headaches and migraines
  • frozen shoulder
  • rotator cuff strain
  • tennis elbow
  • carpal tunnel
  • knee pain
  • shin splints
  • ankle sprain
  • fibromyalgia
  • and allergies
  • And so many others as well!

Sounds great! But what are the side effects?

Not much- since its just oxygen! However, getting injected can leave you feeling sore. This includes some deep feelings of pressure or a slight burning that will dissipate within minutes. If you do experience these symptoms, Don't Worry! They will be gone within 24 hours! Even the "most dangerous" type of ozone (which we do not do) is still safer than Aspirin.

How long will it take? And how many injections do I need?

Doing this treatment leaves long lasting effects. Each injection only takes a few minutes from prep to finish! Each person is different with the number of treatments needed; however, the average amount is 6-10 treatments within a short period of time. Talk to our doctor to see how many appointments will be right for you!

Sound like something you or a loved one may benefit from.

Our office does ozone every day that we are open for normal chiropractic! Give us a call to get scheduled and talk to the doctor!
