MRT

Myofascial Release Technique (MRT) is a soft tissue treatment that allows for the release and breakdown of scar tissue in muscles, fascia and ligaments. This method is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore normal range of motion. The goal of myofascial therapy is to stretch and loosen the fascia so that it and other contiguous structures can move more freely.

IASTM

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is an evidence-based form of therapy that enables clinicians to effectively break down the buildup of scar tissue and to initiate an inflammatory response which will aide in proper healing of the tissue. The stainless steel instruments provide the clinician with the ability to locate restriction and allow treating of the affected area with the appropriate amount of pressure.

Conditions Treated by MRT and IASTM:

  • IT band Pain
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Sciatica
  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Knee Pain
  • Tennis/Golfers Elbow
  • Shin Splints

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal decompression therapy is a modern, non-surgical traction procedure that effectively treats low back, neck, and radiation leg and arm pain. Decompression therapy creates negative pressure between vertebral joints on a disc to allow retraction of the disc material back to a normal physiologic position and promotes the intake of fluids, oxygen, and other substances necessary for the healing the spinal disc and surrounding tissues.

Conditions Treated with Spinal Decompression:

  • Disc Herniations
  • Disc Bulges
  • Facet Joint Syndrome
  • Foraminal Encroachment
  • Degenerative Disc Disease
  • Nuclear Extrusion
  • Spinal Stenosis

Ultrasound

High frequency mechanical vibrations that produce changes in the tissue through wave formation and heat. Ultrasound accelerates the normal resolution time of the inflammatory process by attracting more mast cells to the site of injury, which can be beneficial in the acute phase of tissue damage.  It also allows for the breakdown of calcium deposits, promotes tissue relaxation, and brings local blood flow to the site of treatment.

Custom Foot Orthotics

We use Foot Levelers custom orthotics. Our state of the art digital foot scanner will scan and show weight distribution between left and right side, degree of foot pronation and supination. The scan is then sent digitally where the orthotics are custom made just for you. By stabilizing and balancing your feet, Foot Levelers orthotics enhance your body’s performance and efficiency, reduce pain, and contribute to your total body wellness.

Kinesiotape

Rehabilitative taping that helps facilitate soft tissue while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without compromising range of motion.  Kinesiotape provides an increase to the skin’s surface area to help alleviate pain, promote blood flow and lymph drainage to the tissue being supported. Kinesiotape can be worn for up to five days.

Interferental/Electric Muscle Stim

An alternating current beneficial for decreasing pain and edema through the attachment of electrode pads.  Working on a frequency that is specific to each patient, the electrical current decreases a patient's pain while helping heal the injured tissue by promoting blood flow to the area.

On Site X-Ray

We take all of our X-rays in house and if advanced imaging is required, we work with reputable imaging companies in close proximity to our office that we refer to.
