Walnuts for Overweight Adults

An article in the September 2013 issue of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition looked at overweight adults with visceral adiposity (big bellies). Visceral adiposity is known to increase the body's level of inflammation. This study found that a daily intake of 56 g of walnuts improved the function of the arterial walls, a crucial step in averting cardiovascular disease.
