Class IV Laser therapy is also known as PhotoBioModulation.
Photobiomodulation (PBM) is the best and most widely accepted descriptor of the laser type used and rehabilitation due to its capability to stimulate physiological response.

Spinal disc disease/disc herniation's: these are conditions in which there may be one or multiple disc herniation's in the cervical spine, thoracic spine or lumbar spine. The causes may vary from repetitive stress conditions, poor posture over time, sports related injuries, auto accidents/whiplash, and/or slips and falls. Laser therapy will help reduce the inflammation, pain and increase tissue regeneration.
Osgood Schlatter disease: is a condition that causes pain and swelling below the knee joint, where the patellar tendon attaches to the top of the shinbone, a spot called the tibial tuberosity. There may also be inflammation of the patella tendon, which stretches over the kneecap. This is a common disease of knee pain in young children and adolescents who are still growing and are physically active. Most children will develop Osgood's Schlatter disease in one knee but some may develop in both knees. Athletic young people are most commonly affected by Osgood Schlatter disease, particularly boys between the ages of 10 and 15 who play games or sports that include frequent running and jumping. Most of the young athletes we see in our office with Osgood Schlatter disease are basketball players, female tennis players, football players and runners.
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis): is a swelling of the tendons that bend your wrist backwards away from your palm. Tennis elbow can be caused by trauma to the elbow or repeated stress on the extensor tendons of the wrist. Typical symptoms include pain or weakness when grasping an instrument/tool of some type or when lifting weights in the gym or at home. When it's aggravated it can make it difficult just to use a mouse on a computer or hold your cup of tea in the evening.
Foot and ankle pain: this may be due to conditions such as Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis and or ankle sprains. These conditions can occur to anyone at any time and become chronic. Patients with these conditions are unable to put weight on the affected legs/foot, have a difficult time walking for any length of time and basic daily activities become difficult to perform. Many patients come into our office after seeing their podiatrist and physical therapists for an extended period of time with temporary relief.
Sprain/strain joints: these are conditions where tendons and/or ligaments will be stretched beyond their normal range. The sprain or strain can range from a mild sprain or strain to a rupture of a tendon or ligament. These conditions are painful and create instability in the joint at which it has occurred. They are very common in sports, auto related accidents, work-related accidents and can happen at home when doing basic activities of daily living. They can affect any joint in the body.
As stated above, we treat these conditions with a multimodal approach inclusive of laser therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (Myofascial Release), specific exercises and chiropractic adjustments to the spine or to specific extremities such as shoulder, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, knees and feet as necessary.
Note: Laser radiation is not ionized or mutagenic like x-ray radiation, and there are no maximum exposure limits. Therefore, radiation is not a concern/danger.
