Chiropractic for Children?

YES, infants, toddlers, children of all ages and teens need chiropractic care, too!

Chiropractic is a natural, non-invasive form of health care that removes interferences, distortions and structural stresses that may be preventing the body from expressing its own innate healing ability.

For infants, the stress of labor and delivery can cause structural distortions to their cranium and delicate structural system. A checkup after birth is always recommended.

Babies are often carried in “snuggle sacks”, tucked into car seats, and or lifted without proper support of the head and neck.

Toddlerhood through childhood are very physical years.  Learning to walk, jump and run often result in falls, bumps and minor accidents which can create structural imbalances and spinal stress.

Students carrying heavy backpacks, sitting with poor posture, or spending excessive time using electronic devices are susceptible to structural and environmental stress. For a child to be able to achieve peak potential, their bodies need to be free from structural, brain and nervous system stress.

Athletes often experience improvement in coordination and performance as a result of chiropractic care. A system free of structural imbalance and stress allows the athlete to achieve and maintain peak performance.

Imbalances and disruptions to the infant, child and teenage spine and nervous system can be a result of any form of stress: structural, chemical, emotional, environmental or nutritional. Periodic check-ups can make a huge difference in your child’s physical and emotional health.

So, how do you know if your child needs a chiropractic check-up (especially if they can’t talk yet!)?

  • If your child exhibits a change in behavior, eating, sleeping or elimination patterns.
  • If your child has sustained a trauma.
  • If your child exhibits poor posture or a change in posture.
  • If your child complains of headache, joint or spinal pain.
  • If your child gets frequent colds, ear infections or allergies.

Clinical research has validated chiropractic success with childhood learning disorders, behavioral problems, anxiety, allergies, sleep disorders, ear infections, skin conditions, scoliosis and other immune issues.

All of our doctors are trained in gentle, non-force techniques which are comfortable to the child.

Chiropractic helps keep children healthy, naturally!
