About Us

about us

At OCNC, we are specialists in assessing the functional state of an individual's nervous system and determining appropriate non-surgical, non-pharmaceutical interventions to assist the body reach optimum health.

Our diagnostic abilities and techniques have proven to be extremely successful with patients suffering a variety of pain syndromes, peripheral nerve injuries, balance and movement disorders, conditions involving functional imbalances in the hemispheres of the brain (such as ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, and mild depression), and with healthy patients and athletes in a quest to maximize their potential. Our procedures differ greatly from those of traditional chiropractic due to our understanding that a joint problem may not always be primary, but may be secondary to muscle imbalances resulting from altered function of relay centers of the nervous system.

Our training is not just in techniques of joint manipulation but also in extensive neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation protocols designed to address neuromuscular imbalances.

Patients at OCNC have the benefit of sophisticated technology to aid in diagnosis and rehabilitation. We have an in-house radiology laboratory which allows the objective viewing of alterations in biomechanical axes of movement and joint function.

The clinic also offers a variety of physiotherapy modalities such as cervical and lumbar tractions, as well neuromuscular rehabilitation protocols to improve balance and posture.

Chiropractic Services

Chiropractic treatment is used to alleviate pain, inflammation, and reduced mobility, and to treat headaches/migraines, lower-back pain, sports injuries, vertigo, dizziness, neck pain, childhood learning disorders, muscle weakness, movement disorders plus many more problems and symptoms. It is non-invasive and does not require the use of accompanying medication.

Chiropractic patients now include everyone from healthy babies to patients with chronic injuries. In 1994, the U.S. Agency for Health Care Policy and Research recommended chiropractic manipulation as a safe initial form of treatment for acute lower back pain in adults, and urged most patients to try treatments like chiropractic before opting for more aggressive measures, such as drugs and surgery.

Chiropractors generally tailor their approach to individual patient needs, whether sports injuries, back pain, neck pain, extremity pain. Chiropractic is a school of treatment that aims to influence overall health by manipulating the neuromusculoskeletal system. Chiropractors believe that as a lynchpin of the body, the spine is critical to overall wellbeing. They believe that spinal dysfunction interferes with the nervous system, which can lead to a multitude of health problems. Many chiropractors call these spinal nerve interferences subluxations.
