If you've been struggling with a stubborn soft tissue injury or a chronic degenerative joint condition, the resulting pain and stiffness may have you concerned. Instead of resorting to major surgery or depending on painkilling drugs, stem cells injections can be another form of treatment. Regenerative tissue injections can produce dramatic pain relief and promote tissue healing, safely and non-surgically.

Regenerative tissue therapy belongs to a category of care known as regenerative medicine. The regenerative tissue that our integrated practice uses is one of the safest and most concentrated FDA regulated amniotic tissue product on the market, AmnioFix(tm)! The amniotic tissue in AmnioFix(tm) is voluntarily donated and goes through more safety testing than any other amino product on the market. With this new state of the art technology available the procedure is done safely and is completed in as little as 15 minutes. Regenerative Tissue Therapy is a natural solution to pain management.

Regenerative tissue are "blank slate" cells in the sense that they have yet to become differentiated into specific types of tissue cells. Instead, they take on the properties of the cells surrounding them to become those types of tissues. This is important to the healing powers of regenerative tissue therapy. When injected into injured or ailing tissues, regenerative tissue can become whatever types of cells are needed in that site. Regenerative tissue from amniotic fluid reproduce extremely rapidly, allowing for significant tissue regeneration in a short period of time. Amniotic tissue cells also contain anti-inflammatory substances and a natural joint lubricant known as hyaluronic acid.

Regenerative tissue therapy may not be a miracle cure for everything, but it can prove quite effective at reducing pain and stimulating tissue growth in conditions afflicting the body's major joints and tendons. It may be especially helpful in reducing the painful bone-on-bone friction caused by advanced osteoarthritis.

What is AmnioFix(tm) Amniotic Membrane Injections?

AmnioFix(tm) contains a rich source of amniotic membrane that naturally reduces pain and inflammation while helping the healing process of damaged joints, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues. It is the one of the most concentrated injectable amniotic membrane on the market today.

The reason AmnioFix(tm) generates unprecedented results is explained by the therapeutic qualities of the membrane where it originates. The rejuvenating properties of the amniotic membrane are a rich and fertile source of natural proteins and growth factors. Growth factors are powerful agents that our bodies produce to signal cells to come to the target site, help the site to heal, and help your own cells regenerate the damaged tissue. AmnioFix(tm) contains some of the most important growth factors needed for healing.

The added benefits of hyaluronic acid help lubricate cartilage and promote new cartilage growth.

What is the AmnioFix(tm) Treatment Plan?

Every patient receives a personal plan to treat their specific condition and achieve long-term success. The dynamic properties of AmnioFix(tm) require patients to comply with their customized treatment plan to ensure the best outcome. With any medical procedure there is always the possibility that a unexpected factor will affect the healing process, such as the age or physical condition of the patient. It is very important to remember that the treated area is going through a long-term natural regenerative process and can easily be damaged with too much stress. Very light activity is recommended for the first 2-6 weeks after treatment followed by light rehab for up to 6 months. Please keep in mind that additional injections may be required depending on the severity and type of injury.

Is AmnioFix(tm) Safe?

Amniotic membrane has been successfully used in treatments for decades. It is renowned for its unique ability to bolster the body's self-healing properties through regenerative medicine. AmnioFix(tm) is accepted by the body and does not trigger an immune response because of its low antigen level and dramatically efficient characteristics.

There have been more than 500,000 amniotic membrane implants over the years and there have been no adverse reactions reported.

How is AmnioFix(tm) Tested?

AmnioFix(tm) is regulated by the FDA as a tissue under Section 361 of the Public Health Service Act. The amniotic membrane in AmnioFix(tm) is obtained through voluntary donation after a C-section delivery. Every AmnioFix(tm) donor provides detailed medical history and receives an extensive medical background screening, including testing for a wide range of diseases and conditions. The amniotic membrane then undergoes a validated proprietary process to thoroughly cleanse and preserve the tissue, called the PURION Process(tm). The steps of the PURION Process include: cleansing the tissue, drying the tissue, and sterilization.
