Chiropractic Care

We provide spinal correction utilizing gentle chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Moore and Dr. Danielle Menneto and Dr. Angela Moore, D.C. have years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.

Corrective Exercises

We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Lifestyle Advice

We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each patient is a whole person, and helping them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy offers a natural conservative treatment approach that relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our office provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is tailored to meet the patient's condition and injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include increasing blood circulation, reducing swelling, relaxing muscles, relieving muscle pain and spasms, and aid in recovery and range of motion.

Chiropractic Services

Chiropractic Manipulation and/or Mobilization

Chiropractic Manipulation is used to relieve pressure on joints, decrease inflammation, and promote nerve function. Common symptoms treated with manipulation include back, neck, shoulder, hip pain, and headaches. Other symptoms that may respond well are menstrual cramps, chronic pain syndromes, sinus problems, rib pain, and multiple extremity problems including Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, or carpal tunnel syndrome among many others.

Dr.s Moore and Menneto use various techniques depending on the symptoms and presentation of the patient to determine which technique would be best utilized for the best outcome.

In spinal manipulation, the practitioner uses their hands to apply a controlled, sudden force to a specific joint. Patients often hear popping noises, like when you crack your knuckles.

In spinal mobilization, practitioners use less forceful thrusts and more stretching. They will sometimes use an "activator," which is a small metal tool that applies force directly to one vertebra.

Passive Therapies

In addition to the Chiropractic adjustment, other therapies may be used including heat/cold therapy, traction therapy, cold laser, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, acupuncture, myofacial release, massage, or instrument assisted soft tissue therapy.

Ultrasound can produce many effects other than just the potential heating effect. It has been shown to cause increases in tissue relaxation, local blood flow, and scar tissue breakdown. The effect of the increase in local blood flow can be used to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation, and, according to some studies, promote healing. The intensity or power density of the ultrasound can be adjusted depending on the desired effect. A greater power density is often used in cases where scar tissue breakdown is the goal.

Cupping

The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

Soft tissue injuries may occur with various trauma including repetitive stress such as postural stress from sitting at a desk, or tendonitis from repeated mechanics. Soft tissue injuries may also occur from blunt trauma or acute sprain strains such as car accidents causing whiplash or lifting injuries. All injuries may create swelling due to damaged tissues all as the body's way of promoting healing. Soft tissue may create adhesions or scar tissue over time that limit normal mechanics of the joint or range of motion.

IASTM utilizes tools that are able to trigger a healing process by causing a localized microtrauma to soft tissue adhesions or scar tissue. In doing this, the body can increase blood flow, increase range of motion, restore proper mechanics and promo

Acupuncture is the treatment through fine needle insertion to meridian channels that course throughout the body. The placement and insertion of these needles is specific to each patient. We use the acugraph, acupuncture examination tool to get your own PIE (Personal Integration Energy) score so you can receive the best results. Acupuncture is known to help treatment many ailments such as neck, lowback pain, headaches, digestive dysfunction, low energy levels and much more.

Normatec

The Normatec is a pulsed recovery system that uses compressed air to massage the limbs of the body using peristaltic pulse dynamic compression. It has been proven to provide many benefits including improved circulation, mobilization of fluid, improved flexibility, and improvement of recovery. It is used by many Olympic athletes and rehabilitation facilities.
