We get a lot of questions about stem cell therapy on a daily basis. Here are some of the more common ones that we get.
Is stem cell therapy covered by health insurance? Is stem cell therapy covered by Medicare?
No, stem cell therapy is not covered by health insurance or Medicare. Health insurance and Medicare do not cover many of the treatments we do in the office including cold laser therapy and decompression, but that doesn't mean they are not effective treatments. There are many effective treatments not covered by health insurance and Medicare, and stem cell therapy is one of them.
Medicare and most major health insurance plans (and the smaller ones too) will cover the cost of the evaluation to determine if you are a good candidate. Medicare and health insurance will often times cover the cost of a knee brace, which can relieve up to 50% of the pain just by wearing it. Medicare and health insurance will also cover other therapies and treatments in the office
The good news is that we have removed financial barriers that present for many patients to get stem cell therapy. In all reality, we have made stem cell therapy cost less than the cost of health insurance which often times have deductibles of $5,000, $10,000, and even $15,000. And that's not including co pays etc.
Many of our patients are on a fixed income, have only one source of income, or feel like this therapy is out of their reach. Many patients tell us that the treatment is worth more than the cost because of the results received.
