Here are some of the Precautionary Standards and Measures You can practice on a Daily Bases:

Although there is still no vaccine available to prevent infection with the new coronavirus, you can take steps to reduce your risk of infection. WHO and CDC recommend following these precautions for avoiding COVID-19:

1. Avoid contact with people who have the virus.
2. Avoid being anywhere near someone who is coughing or sneezing.
3. Don’t touch your eyes, mouth of nose if your hands if your hands aren’t clean. 4. Cover your mouth and nose with the inside of your elbow joint or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw away the used tissue
4.  Get into a daily routine of cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces and objects in your home, work place, and car -- including door handles, counters tops, tables, light switches, desks, toilets, faucets, sinks, the steering wheel and other surfaces in your car, your keys, remote controls and phones.
5. Wear a face mask when leaving your home.
6. Avoid touching your face, nose, eyes, when outside of your “clean” home, etc.
7. Maintain a least 6 feet of distance from others when outside of your home.
8. Avoid hugging and handshaking with people who don’t live with you.
9. Try to avoid touching high-touch surfaces in public places -- door handles, handrails, gas pump handles, AMT machines, light switches, desks tops, toilets handles, faucets, sinks when out of your home. (See lines 11 and 12)
10. When out of your home, avoid long conversations with people you don’t personal know or haven’t seen for a long time.
11. When out of your home, use through-a-way gloves, a plastic bag, tissue paper, or a paper towel to cover your hand or fingers if you must touch any surfaces.
12. Clean your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing, or having been in a public place.
13. No soap and water? Use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands.
14. Avoid crowds, especially in poorly ventilated spaces. Your risk of exposure to respiratory viruses like COVID-19 may increase in crowded, closed-in settings with little air circulation if there are people in the crowd who are sick.
15. Avoid all non-essential travel including bus trips, taxies, Uber, plane trips, and especially avoid embarking on a cruise ship at the present time.
